* ''WesternAnimation/TheLorax'': The forest creatures usually [[SweetTooth love sweet foods]], so it becomes evident that things are serious when one of them, Pipsqueak the barbaloot, doesn't want a marshmallow because he's TooUnhappyToBeHungry after the trees are cut down.

This is a trope for when a somewhat-OutOfCharacter action is used to draw extra attention to the scene (similar to a TitleDrop). It isn't HiddenDepths because it isn't telling us something about the character we didn't already know; it's similar to an OutOfCharacterMoment in that this is specifically the usage of such a moment to draw attention to a scene. ** In the special, "Film/ElmoSavesChristmas", Lightning the Reindeer takes Elmo to a BadFuture he created from his wish for it to be ChristmasEveryDay. In this bad future, The Count is so sick of celebrating an entire year's worth of Christmases, that he is even sick of counting them! Naturally, this sparks a shocked reaction from Elmo.
