They're ripped to shreds and the poor girl is left with only her headwear. And, from that point on, her (now {{depower}}ed) robes have to be kept together with ''safety pins'', [[spoiler:which actually turn out to be quite useful in a later battle with a summoned [[DishingOutDirt golem]].]]
* Reversed in ''LightNovel/{{Akikan}}''. After Melon appears for the first time, she sees Kakeru, who's just gotten out of the shower. Kakeru is ecstatic that there's a girl in his room for the first time ever, but she magically propels him into the wall. It takes a good few minutes before he's actually wearing something.

* In ''Manga/{{Bleach}}'', when Yoruichi first reveals her human form to Ichigo she's completely naked. * Happens repeatedly in ''Manga/AiYoriAoshi'' with the subversion that he ends up with pretty much the only girl he doesn't see naked... accidentally anyway.

* In ''Anime/CodeGeass'', while it's not their first impression, the same episode that Lelouch and Kallen are properly introduced to each other, Kallen gets soaked with champagne. She takes a shower, he lends her his clothes, and she lends him... the point of her knife. After clearing up the confusion in [[TheTapeKnewYouWouldSayThat his own special way]], still looking away from her he says... "You know I can see you, right?"
** In a sense, this also happens between her and Suzaku. Although they went to the same school, Suzaku only saw Kallen's fake persona, that of an intelligent, quiet girl who misses a lot of classes due to an unspecified illness. When Suzaku finally sees the real Kallen, a loudmouthed tsundere terrorist, she's showering under a waterfall, naked, and her reaction upon seeing him is to grab her knife and charge. Of course, this time she's up against the one character in the series with inexplicably superhuman reflexes exceeding her own, so the knife doesn't help.

* ''[[Manga/JoJosBizarreAdventureJoJolion JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: JoJolion]]'': Yasuho first meets Josuke half buried in the ground, trapped and disoriented. She manages to pull him free him from the dirt, only to immediately realize Josuke is naked. [[CovertPervert Yasuho]] takes good close look at his body, and discovers his rather unusual anatomy. Yasuho has a hard time forgetting the image later on.

* As well as Keitaro and Naru (not to mention most of the other girls as well) from ''Manga/LoveHina''. [[spoiler: Subverted in that [[ForgottenFirstMeeting it wasn't Keitaro and Naru's first meeting]].]]
** An amusing subversion at the beginning of the DistantFinale involved a new would-be resident ending up in the same position as Keitaro and drawing similar reactions from the tenants who joined the kid in the on-site Hot Spring. Problem is that Maeda Ema was female as well.
** In the First Draft of the Manga, Naru and Mitsumi's characters were originally one character. What was to happen was that Naru would fall out of the hole in the floor/ceiling naked, hit her head, and [[EasyAmnesia lose her memory.]] However he changed it, presumably because he didn't know how to go from there.

* In ''Manga/NegimaMagisterNegiMagi'', most points in which main hero Negi begins to get to know his students, it's usually while they're bathing: baka rangers in library island, [[ActionGirl Setsuna]] in Kyoto, etc. He usually gets away unharmed, though [[GroinAttack not in Setsuna's case]].
** Most of Negi and Asuna's early interactions are the result of Negi accidentally [[ClothingDamage erasing her clothes from existence.]]
* ''Anime/NeonGenesisEvangelion'' plays with this trope multiple times:
** When Shinji meets Asuka, wind [[PantyShot blows her dress up]], and she slaps both him and Touji. In the [[Manga/NeonGenesisEvangelion manga adaptation]] she demands they buy her something from the VengefulVendingMachine she was fighting with a few moments earlier instead.
** There's also the [[SceneryCensor toothpick holder scene]] on his very first evening living with Misato.
** In episode 8 Shinji's friend Touji did this intentionally. He had just dropped his hat and was retrieving it when Asuka, who they were meeting, appeared, and [[PantyShot had her skirt slightly blown up]]. She slaps all three of them and said that's the price for seeing her underwear. Touji responded by dropping his pants and underwear flashing her, saying she paid too much and this was her change.
** In ''Anime/RebuildOfEvangelion 2.0'' Shinji's toothpick holder scene was repeated, this time with Asuka on the receiving end. And Shinji was present as well. Cue Asuka turning beet red, sprinting across the kitchen stark naked and kicking him in the face.
* Luffy and Boa Hancock do this on ''Manga/OnePiece'', although it's kind of a subversion because we don't really have any good [[NoHuggingNoKissing reason to think]] [[ChasteHero they'll get together]]. (Not for [[HopelessSuitor lack of trying on Boa's part.]] Also because she was more angry that he saw [[spoiler: the tattoo on her back marking her as a former slave]] than that he saw her naked.)

** Happens to Ranma and Akane ''twice'' in the first episode, first with Akane walking in on Ranma and then the other way around. In the first case, both manga and anime make a point of showing how Akane looks ''down'' to make sure that, yep, Ranma's a boy. In the second instance, when girl-Ranma walks in on her, the anime repeats the joke by having Akane look down at Ranma's breasts -- which incenses her ''further'', because it just confirms what Ranma said moments earlier about being "better built". At least Akane is holding a towel to preserve some degree of modesty, but now she knows exactly what ''both'' sides of Ranma look like naked.
** Much later on, the scene is [[ContinuityNod mirrored]] with Shinnosuke, an [[EasyAmnesia extremely forgetful boy]] who draws an outdoors bath for Akane... then promptly forgets all about her (but not about drawing the bath). He heads for the bath (naked, natch) and runs into Akane just as she's climbing out. She slaps him out of reflex, of course, but more importantly, his nakedness reveals the [[ScarsAreForever scar on his back]], confirming his identity as the boy who saved her life many years ago. It's also significant in that Shinnosuke was Ranma's one and only real rival for Akane's affections.
** And the original instance is repeated [[ContinuityNod almost verbatim]] at the end the manga, as[[spoiler: an]] Akane [[spoiler:impersonator]] walks in on Ranma at the bath, in the exact same pose, no less. He certainly didn't expect what [[TheGlomp came afterward]], though...
* In ''Manga/RisingXRydeen'' Takara's first meeting with Ruri is him accidentally walking in on her changing clothes in her dressing room after her concert. At first it looks like she's going to hurt him since she screams and grabs his arm before he tries to flee but it turns out she was just excited to see him

* Lampshaded / parodied in the first episode of ''Manga/UFOBaby''. Miyu worries constantly that she's going to be in this situation somehow. Guess what happens. [[spoiler:Kanata saw Miyu while she was bathing.]]

* In ''Manga/UQHolder'', Touta meets Kuromaru while bathing under a waterfall that they both had assumed was isolated. Despite this trope, Touta still isn't sure whether Kuromaru is [[AmbiguousGender a boy or a girl.]]
** Later on, Shinobu's arrival at Fairyland Hall is a recreation of the [[Manga/LoveHina Keitaro's arrival at the Hinata Apartments]].

* Jon, a.k.a. Skeleton Man, was introduced to Tarot's mother this way in ''Comicbook/TarotWitchOfTheBlackRose''. Except that he was the naked one, not her. Not that he didn't see Tarot's mother naked later on, but that's what ''Tarot'' is all about.
* In the ''U.S. War Machine'', a Creator/MarvelMAX version of Comicbook/WarMachine from ComicBook/IronMan. Jim Rhodes, the commander of the titular special operations unit, walks into a locker room looking for "Josephs," one of his new team members. It turns out Josephs' first name is Sheva and is an attractive and very well-endowed blonde. She is completely nude when Jim walks in, and she tells him to "close the door." He stares at her, wide eyed and complies. She then glares at him and says, "From the outside!"

* In ''ComicBook/{{Crimson}}'', Alex first meeting with Scarlet ends up like this, when a misunterstading causes her to fight him while wearing only a ModestyTowel that he ends up [[StrippingSnag accidentaly snatching off of her]]. [[ShamelessFanserviceGirl She doesn't bother]] [[FullFrontalAssault covering up]] and points her crossbow at his head, winning the fight but at that point he's too busy [[EatingTheEyeCandy enjoying the view]] to care.

* Happens a lot in ''HogwartsExposed'', with the twist that the characters who are naked are nudists and not at all embarrassed to be seen like that - [[PleasePutSomeClothesOn but the other side usually is]].

* In the ''WesternAnimation/{{WITCH}}'' fanfic ''Fanfic/{{Ripples}}'', young Prince Phobos first meets Will/[[SecretIdentity Van]] when she's SkinnyDipping in one of the Castle's garden ponds. His first order to her after she subsequently becomes his [[OnlyFriend companion]] is to [[LetUsNeverSpeakOfThisAgain never speak of this fact again]].

* From his point of view (it's [[TimeyWimeyBall timey-wimey]]), the Doctor of ''Webcomic/DoctorWhoRegenerated'' makes a(n almost) Naked First Impression on Daisy, who's met him dressed earlier that say and is rather confused.
* In ''Fanfic/ANightInTheSculptureGarden'', Irene Adler is naked for her first meeting with Molly Hooper.

* In ''Fanfic/AsFateWouldHaveIt'', this is exactly how [[spoiler:Nate's mom and Yancy first meet one another in person, with her barging into Nate's room to find her son and the latter the morning after they've had TheirFirstTime.]]

* In ''Film/{{Hacksaw Ridge}},'' Creator/AndrewGarfield's character meets fellow recruits at an Army Training Camp. One of them, Milt "Hollywood" Zane is showing off his impressive physique by exercising in front of everyone totally naked. It's pure [[MrFanservice fanservice]], and he certainly gets his [[BreakTheHaughty comeuppance]].

* In ''Film/{{Maleficent}}'', Diaval is technically first seen "clothed" as he's a raven, but he is naked when Maleficent changes him into a man. Being a fairy, she is completely unfazed by his nudity, while he is mainly preoccupied with the fact that he considers his new human body ugly. While kids might see it as NakedPeopleAreFunny, adults in the room definitely see a bit of {{Fanservice}}.
* A RealLife version of this happened during the production of ''Film/{{Baseketball}}'', where Creator/YasmineBleeth's first scene ended up being when she walks in on Creator/TreyParkerAndMattStone naked in the locker room.
* ''Film/{{Entrapment}}'': The first time [[Creator/SeanConnery Mac]] makes contact with [[Creator/CatherineZetaJones Gin]] is when he infiltrates her hotel room at night while she was sleeping naked with only a ModestyBedsheet, which promptly drops when she gets up after he startles her.

At least he has the decency to be somewhat put off by her opening line, "I am for you!", brought on because she has a prophecy that says [[BecauseDestinySaysSo she'll meet her true love this way]].

** In ''Literature/{{Sabriel}}'', Sabriel first finds Touchstone TakenForGranite as the wooden figurehead of a ship... [[FanService naked]]. [[EatingTheEyeCandy As Sabriel notes]] that Touchstone is circumcised, it's apparently a very detailed statue.
** This also happens to Lirael when she first meets Nicholas, as Nicholas feels no shame in dropping his drawers before an [[VoluntaryShapeshifting owl]].
* In Creator/TamoraPierce's ''[[Literature/TortallUniverse Wild Magic]]'', Numair is naked when first properly introduced to Daine, [[spoiler: having been shapeshifted into a hawk before]].

And up until ''he'' meets ''her'' for the first time in the present, he's naked every time he meets her.
* The Series/StarTrekTheNextGeneration novel ''Imzadi'' tells how Riker and Troi first met - at a Betazoid wedding, where everyone was naked (including Riker). Troi was the maid of honor and for Riker, it was lust at first sight!

* In ''FaerieWars'', Henry first sees Holly Blue naked. Not that she minds much. At the end, she asks him whether he thinks she's pretty.
* In ''Literature/WarOfTheDreaming'' by Creator/JohnCWright, Raven first meets his wife when she decides to go running naked through the woods ([[{{Cloudcuckoolander}} she's trying to remember how to fly]]).
* In ''Literature/TheEcho'', a story by J. Nagibin, the protagonist first sees Vika when she is naked - and [[AccidentalPervert he is sitting on her panties]]. The girl is reasonably angry.

* In Creator/MichaelChabon's ''Literature/TheAmazingAdventuresOfKavalierAndClay'', the protagonist, Joe Kavalier, first meets his love interest, Rosa Luxemburg Saks, when he has to get into his friend's locked apartment by swinging up the fire escape, and ends up walking in on her napping on the couch completely naked. Soon after, his friend pays him ten dollars to draw her naked from memory (the fact that he remembers her vividly enough to do a realistic sketch is a pretty good clue that he'll end up falling for her).

** In "Betvingade", Illiana is naked when she first meets Markus. She was abducted and taken to him while taking a bath!
** In "De skandalösa", Gabriel is naked when he first meets Magdalena. She had almost walked in on him while having sex with his mistress.
* In ''Literature/TheOnceAndFutureKing'', when Lancelot is entreated by some villagers to save a girl who has been magically imprisoned in a cauldron of boiling water for years, she is "naked as a needle" when he rescues her. She's also doing pretty well for someone who's been getting boiled alive for some time.

** Johanna's first ''two'' appearances are naked. Partly because Jo '''knows''' it makes the virginal Katniss uncomfortable.

* The Exile's introduction to Atton Rand in ''VideoGame/KnightsOfTheOldRepublic 2'' is him/her walking into Atton's cell in his/her underwear. Atton will continue to rag on the Exile about this until he/she finds some decent clothes.

* In ''VideoGame/DmCDevilMayCry'', Kat first meets Dante when she knocks on his trailer door and he answers it naked (having just woken up and not bothering to get dressed). Neither them nor the other people walking in the background show much reaction to his nudity.
* ''VideoGame/EarnestEvans'': Earnest first finds Annet naked on a sacrificial altar, before rescuing her (and giving her his jacket) ... but only in the Japanese Sega CD version, as the American Genesis version [[NoExportForYou was missing all of the cutscenes]].

* At the beginning of ''VideoGame/MarioAndLuigiSuperstarSaga'', Toad finds Mario taking a shower. HilarityEnsues, especially because you're actually controlling Toad at this point. When Mario leaves the bathroom he has a robe on him, and when he finds out about the current predicament, he quickly puts on his clothes and rushes off to the castle (and because Luigi was putting them out to dry, he is accidentally dragged along for the ride).
* In the sequel to ''VideoGame/MegaManLegends'', when Mega Man first sees Sera, she is completely naked.

* In ''Webcomic/PokemonX'', the main character Brendan meets May by walking in on her in the midst of changing, naked from the waist up, resulting in a love/hate relationship.

* In ''Webcomic/{{Outsider}}'', this happens to the main character: Ensign Alexander Jardin. [[spoiler:After the destruction of his ship by an unknown enemy,]] Jardin wakes up naked and on a medical gurney, with two of the other main characters in the room. [[spoiler:As it turns out, he's on board the Loroi warship ''Tempest'', just as Fireblade starts the ''mind rape''. But waking up only postpones the inevitable.]]
* In ''Webcomic/ElGoonishShive'', Grace is in the middle of a NotWearingPantsDream when she [[http://www.egscomics.com/index.php?id=1828 meets a wizard acting as an emissary of magic within the dream]]. The wizard implies this is actually the third time they've met (presumably in the same way) and Grace just doesn't remember the first two times.
* In ''Webcomic/SeiyuuCrush'', Kaji's first day at work results in his pants being pulled completely down.
* In ''Webcomic/GirlGenius'', [[http://www.girlgeniusonline.com/comic.php?date=20080411#.Vu2M9eKLTIU Zeetha and Gil]] meet for the first time [[spoiler:although it's been heavily implied by the Foglios that, being fraternal twins, they've obviously met before]] when he's recovering from various wounds and she's been sent to make sure he's okay. Of course, being Zeetha, she neglects to tell him that he's naked [[http://www.girlgeniusonline.com/comic.php?date=20080418#.Vu2NaOKLTIU until he's been walking around the room for a few pages]]. [[spoiler:The whole twin thing makes this a little creepy, in retrospect, but neither of them know.]]
** [[spoiler:She apparently works out that they're siblings later in the comic; notably, this is the point where she starts wearing clothes around him.]]
* ''Webcomic/MyBestFriendMarneao'': After being summoned by Jacob, Marneao appears in his room completely naked. He then hugs Jacob at that moment. Jacob is speechless until Marneao materializes clothes on top of him. And this is how the comic begins, mind you.

* ''Anime/DarlingInTheFranxx'': Hiro first encounters Zero Two SkinnyDipping in the Birdcage's fishpond--complete with having caught a fish in her teeth. She doesn't care overmuch, other than clearly being amused that he's embarrassed about it.

** When Shinji meets Asuka, wind [[PantyShot blows her dress up]], and she slaps both him and Touji.

* Lampshaded / parodied in the first episode of ''Manga/UFOBaby''. Miyu worries constantly that she's going to be in this situation somehow. Guess what happens. [[spoiler:Kanata saw Miyu while she was bathing.]]

* Shunsuke first meets Manga/{{Yuria|100Shiki}} in an alley wearing nothing but an overcoat ... and about to be taken advantage of by a stray dog.

* On ''WesternAnimation/SouthPark'', the first time Token actually met the new girl, Nicole, was when she came into the boy's locker room as he was getting out of the shower. He was wearing a ModestyTowel, but the two were both embarrassed anyway. (Incidentally, the whole thing was a plot by [[PoliticallyIncorrectVillain Cartman]] to trick them into becoming a TokenMinorityCouple.)
