** The 1996 theatrical short made for Loews Theaters, ''Don't Forget to Watch the Movie'', had every Muppet on the show at the time in a theater singing a song about a theater and what not to do in it, starting out with the standards (No smoking, no talking, etc.) before branching out into more outlandish things which would only be an issue in a place like Sesame Street (No surfing, no dancing with bears, no eating the seats, no pulling your friend's nose off and sticking it to someone else).

* ''WesternAnimation/LooneyTunesCartoons'': In "Moody at the Movies", the Three Bears go to the theater to see a movie. Pa tries to enjoy the movie, but [[DisruptingTheTheater Ma and Junyer keep making noises and asking him for things]].

** The first four minutes of "[[Recap/TheSimpsonsS15E15CoDependentsDay Co-Dependent's Day]]" feature the Simpson family going to see a ''[[BlandNameProduct Cosmic Wars]]'' movie, disappointed by the lack of action and insanely slow pace of the movie. Other theater jokes include Luigi being interrupted to pose for a pizza box and Otto ending up in the line for the long movie (which, surprisingly, he enjoys). This upsets Bart and Lisa so much that they go to directly talk to the film's producer.

* The ''WesternAnimation/Bluey'' episode "Movies" is about Bandit taking Bluey and Bingo to the movie theater and the shenanigans that ensue.

* ''FanFic/TommyPicklesTheTerribleTwos'' is a fanfic set one year after the events of ''WesternAnimation/{{Rugrats}}''. In the chapter, "Tommy Talks", the Finster and Deville families take their children, as well as Tommy and Dil to see a ''Goober the Gopher'' movie. Not wanting to see the movie due to his dislike of Goober, Tommy sneaks out to see a ''Reptar'' movie. When Kira finds Tommy, Tommy tells her that he wants to see the ''Reptar'' movie, and when she refuses to let him see it, he throws a tantrum that results in the Finster and Deville families having to leave the theater early.

* In the ''WesternAnimation/{{Rugrats}}'' episode "[[Recap/RugratsS1E3AtTheMoviesSlumberParty At the Movies]]", the parents take the kids to see ''The Dummi Bears in the Land Without Smiles''. While the adults are engaged in the movie (save for Grandpa, [[PeripheryHatedom who hates the movie's saccharine tone]]), the babies wander off to see a ''Reptar'' movie, making a mess of the snack bar and the projection room along the way.

** In yet another Ernie and Bert sketch, Ernie gets emotional during a movie: first he's sad, then scared, then happy. His reactions bother the other moviegoers, and the scene ends in chaos.

* ''[[Machinima/Supermarioglitchy4sSuperMario64Bloopers SMG4]]'' has "[[https://youtu.be/iJPI2DenlRI A Theatre Mario]]", where all the main characters go to a theatre to watch different movies. Mario gets bored and sneaks around to see what everyone is watching.

* WesternAnimation/ThePowerpuffGirls go to a theater to watch a silent movie and wind up getting involved within it in "Silent Treatment."

When [=SpongeBob=] discovers that Mr. Krabs is right, Plankton attempts to escape with a stolen Krabby Patty through the movie projection screen, [[RealityEnsues but his plan is foiled by the solid concrete behind it]].
