Fix never disguises himself and, after their initial meeting on the ship, Passepartout always recognises him; his counterpart in the series is Inspector Dix, not Transfer.

** This is taken to RealityWarper-esque levels, as not only can the disguises include impossible but genuine details, such as human family members, but, as shown in "Steve, Snot, and the Quest for the Og 4Loko", they can cause ''anyone'' who wears them to appear to ''be'' that persona to everyone (including people who know them, except Roger himself), but to ''show up on camera as the character'' (e.g. Steve appearing on CCTV as a middle-aged Japanese man).

While they only last a few seconds, enemies on patrol will ignore you if you walk in front of them. Alerted enemies will not be fooled (Though enemies set to constantly attack will stop attacking), and neither will electronic surveillance, like cameras or laser tripwires.

But he's unable to fool [[spoiler: The FOXDIE pathogen]], which kills him.

** The ComicBook/BlackWidow, being a trained espionage agent, has this as one of her skills.

** In ''ComicBook/RawhideKid'' #49, Rawhide battles a villain known as the Masquerader. As no one had ever seen his true face he was able to easily disguise himself so no one would guess that he was a gunfighter. He was even able to disguise himself as people of different ethnicities, such as a Chinaman and Mexican. He even impersonated ComicBook/KidColt in order to put the two gunslingers at each other's throats.
** The Scourge of the Underworld, a collective group of assassins trained to eliminate supervillains, each is one, and through a combination of makeup and LatexPerfection can impersonate nearly anyone to get close to a target. It's this and their efficiency that has left the Scourge as TheDreaded for many villains.

* ''Comicbook/TheSpirit'': his arch-nemesis The Octopus is an accomplished Master of Disguise. *** The Chameleon. He wears exquisitely made latex masks, is a skilled mimic, and his own mask is equipped with voice changer software. For a time, the Chameleon also used a holographic belt that could instantly create an image of whoever he wanted to pose as. Chameleon is also astounding at being able to imitate someone. When he poses as Tigra, ''ComicBook/AvengersAcademy'' member Finesse (who prides herself on knowing a person through their fighting moves) is in denial Chameleon could duplicate Tigra's micro-expressions enough to fool her.

** ''Comicbook/XMen'': ComicBook/{{Mystique}}'s a shapeshifter and is quite comfortable as either a man or a woman. On the other hand, she has more difficulty maintaining a shape that is different in mass than herself. For example, when she spent a few years pretending to be a Governor's wife, using the name Mallory Brickman, part of her disguise was that she was about twice her normal weight. Since she was going to have to maintain this image for a very long time, she gained weight, to bring her own mass up to the same amount as "Mallory".

** Borborygmus Gog, Hoole's old enemy and the BigBad of the ''Literature/GalaxyOfFear'' series, uses his own Shi'ido powers almost exclusively for identity theft, and spends his first proper appearance in the series having pulled off a KillAndReplace.

** Some of the Doctor's incarnations have had a knack for disguise themselves. Two (Creator/PatrickTroughton) had a tendency to dress up in his earlier outings, and Three (Creator/JonPertwee) spent a chunk of "[[Recap/DoctorWhoS10E5TheGreenDeath The Green Death]]" as the new cleaning lady at Global Chemicals. This was phased out over time, with later incarnations tending to favour the BavarianFireDrill or simply browbeating officials into submission.

-Envy is an example of this. Oftentimes he will disguise himself as various members of the army to get to places that he otherwise could not go. He also uses his power of shapeshifting to confuse people and take advantage of them. He used this tactic when [[spoiler:he kills Hughes by disguising as Ross and Gracia]].
