* Henry Gustave Molaison underwent a lobotomy in hopes of treating severe seizures he suffered from, while it mostly resolved that issue the procedure rendered him unable to form new memories so that for the remaining decades of his life he was one of the most studied medical cases regarding such things ever. His brain was later harvested before he died in order to more directly study what parts of his brain had been destroyed to gain greater insights into how the brain forms memories.

The sight of his now Tranquil friend infuriates Anders so much that Justice temporarily manifests itself. The presence of the spirit temporarily restores Karl's emotions. Karl begs Anders to [[MercyKill kill him]] since he doesn't want to go back to his dreary emotionless state.
