When Alex freaks out on the possibility to have an incest fetish his younger sister Rosalie (yaoi fangirl and somewhat an expy of Winry) prompts to snog him and at his clear disgust gleefully exclaims that apparently, it is NOT an incest fetish. He just happens to be in love with a boy that happens to be his brother.

* Most ''Manga/RanmaOneHalf'' fanfiction with the "[[GenderBender Ranma]] gets modelocked as a girl forever" plot use this trope in regards to Ranma and Akane. In reality, though, both are strictly straight. Neither like the idea of doing anything even remotely sexual while he's a girl.

* OC created by Ming-GID on Deviantart, Culbert Cuthbert is a gay man but he is genuinely in love with and sexually attracted to his girlfriend Kathryn Kline. They loves to engage in bondage together.

How Akihisa reconciles this varies by version: In the light novels, he's acknowledged Hideyoshi as male, but elects to mostly treat him as if he was female. In the anime, Akihisa flat-out [[IRejectYourReality tells himself that Hideyoshi is a girl and ignores all evidence and protests to the contrary]].

* Tenko Chabashira, the Ultimate Aikido Master from ''VisualNovel/DanganronpaV3KillingHarmony'', is a possible case. Her [[DoesNotLikeMen misandry]] is one of her most identifiable traits. However, she seems more willing to tolerate boys a bit more when they take up Neo-Aikido, a martial arts she developed with the head priest of a temple her parents sent her to (and that head priest would become her master). In her Love Suite Event, Tenko directly tells Shuichi that he has defeated her in a Neo-Aikido sparring match, and is free to do whatever he wants to her because of this. She then admits that she challenged Shuichi to the sparring match because she is in love with him, suggesting that Tenko may have a heavily repressed romantic attraction to boys. This makes sense since her misandry does not stem from any actual trauma (like Mahiru's attitude towards boys did), but rather from gullibility on her part; her master, a male, is suggested to be joking around when he told her that a boy touching her weakens her moves, as does being too excited for Valentine's Day and Christmas and eating more than three sweets a day, and Tenko took all this at face value.

In "Profit and Lace", Quark is forced to do a gender-swap and pose as a female. Every male Ferengi he encounters (even his own family) comments on what a lovely female he makes, to the point where the Nagus (who knows he's really Quark) can't keep his hands off him and a prominent businessman is completely smitten with him (even after being told Quark is really male).

* Subverted in ''VideoGame/{{Persona 4}}'', the AmbiguouslyBi Kanji instantly crushes on the male-presenting Naoto, which, coupled with his 'unmasculine' interests, flares up Kanji's insecurity that he might be attracted to men. But even after Naoto reveals herself to be female, he still remains attracted to her.

** There's also one-shot character Lucas Troy, a friend of Archer's who got his training with [=ISIS=] ([[MiddleEasternTerrorists not that one]]) only to start working for [=ODIN=] instead. Archer still considers Troy a close friend, but Troy has SingleTargetSexuality towards Archer, outright saying that he's not gay ''for other men'' when Archer finally confronts him about it.
