* ''Webcomic/Sleepless Domain'': For most of the comic, while we see her GameFace, we don't know ''who'' the hell 'Goops' was before the city was transformed into a Magical Girl Parody World, or even what she currently ''is''. Later comics have her constantly imply that she's ''sick'' of the lies the city thrives on and how the city itself was somehow responsible for creating the monsters, but overall her true nature and motives are still a mystery.

* The Platform/SegaCD tie-in game for ''WesternAnimation/BatmanTheAnimatedSeries'' had Batman and Robin dealing with a succession of supervillains, all of whom tried to kill them. They first apprehend Poison Ivy and the Riddler before confronting the Joker, who at first hints that ''he'' is the mastermind behind all the mischief. Once Batman has beaten him into submission, he finally admits that there's been someone pulling ''his'' strings, and [[spoiler: he implies this person is Rupert Thorne. * ''WebVideo/{{Petscop}}'': In video 5, a character named "Marvin" is revealed, who is described as hitting a child, Mike, with a tool for having his UsefulNotes/PlayStation on. From this it can be assumed he is an evil person, but there is not much else known about Marvin. In video 8, however, a representation of Marvin seems to appear -- and he looks the exact same as the player character's sprite, but with some sort of green object replacing/covering the head.
