That said, the story examines just how much work it takes to look that good, between the clothing, makeup, and camera work.

* Film/Barbie2023: The titular Stereotypical Barbie garners this reaction after she enters the Real World for the first time, with every guy in the vicinity giving her appreciative glances, catcalls, and whistles. The trope is deconstructed as this is played up as a hint to Barbie that the Real World isn't like the matriarchal Barbieland she came from (in spite of her initial assumptions) and quickly feels unsafe and self-conscious. It's one of the things she later cries over when Mattel finds her.

The trope is deconstructed as this is played up as a hint to Barbie that the Real World isn't like the matriarchal Barbieland she came from (in spite of her initial assumptions) and quickly feels unsafe and self-conscious. It's one of the things she later cries over when Mattel finds her. It's lampshaded when Barbie later starts crying and having an IAmNotPretty moment, as the narrator breaks the fourth wall to tell the filmmakers that the famously beautiful Margot Robbie is the "wrong" actress to deliver such a line.
* :
** Helen is hyped up as the WorldsMostBeautifulWoman, with King Priam saying "for once, the gossips were right" when meeting her. Notably in Greek mythology, Helen was so beautiful partly because her father was Zeus, meaning she was a demigod herself. The film goes for a Demythification approach, so part of the fuss about Helen is said to be because of rumour and gossip.
** Briseis likewise is told in her very first scene by her cousin that "your beauty grows with each new moon", and Priam jokes about how disappointed the men of Troy were when she chose to become a priestess and therefore remain a virgin. She also makes the womanizing Achilles fall desperately in love with her.

Added DiffLines:

* Series/Charmed 1998:
** Prue was this in high school, as a glamorous AlphaBitch who was head cheerleader, and Piper's best friend Justin jokes that he was her "willing slave". Interestingly enough, she is dressed down at the beginning of the series, opting for plainer business attire. As her powers and confidence grow, she begins to look more like a bombshell, to the point that going undercover to pretend to be the assassin Ms Hellfire (and dressing in her sexy clothes) gets the man who hired her to fall in LoveAtFirstSight with her.
** Phoebe is later considered this once she becomes an advice columnist for the Bay Mirror. Part of this is due to marketing, as Elise tries to hype her against a rival columnist by getting her to do a sexy photoshoot. She also gets the most love interests of the rest of the sisters. Even series creator Constance M Burge says that Creator/AlyssaMilano brought a natural sexiness to Phoebe that wasn't there as written. This is cranked up a notch when she is turned into a LoveGoddess and has an entire room full of men doting on her.
** Paige also becomes considered this in Season 5 for similar reasons as Prue - her powers and confidence growing, leaving the office job behind and embracing a sexier wardrobe. That season frequently saw her with many different guys every week, to the point that her actress complained "Paige isn't a ho!", and demons were frequently attracted to her. Naturally when she ends up in a FilmNoir parody, she is advised to play the FemmeFatale.

It's been decided that Manhua and Manhwa examples shall be placed into their own folders. Moving example to the correct section.

* Manhwa/DorothyOfOz: Selluriah's Witch form tends to elicit this reaction from people. Indigo is pretty much the only male in the series to witness it and not melt into a puddle on the floor. Though it's implied that this is only because he's seen it so many times it no longer has a noticeable effect on him.

Everyone who sees her, even other women, even other vampires, are so stunned by her beauty that they will mindlessly follow her around until her self-esteem is high enough that her beauty level drops off to normal.
