If there aren't a bare minimum of two instances of this in every episode, then you're watching the wrong anime. Usually accompanied by an InTheNameOfTheMoon speech which will generally go something like "This Mazinkaiser will be your opponent!" The supporting characters tend to join in.
** Honorable mention goes to Tetsuya's Great Mazinger, whose Thunder Break attack [[ElementalBaggage produces]] and absorbs a lightning strike, then fires it out the pointer finger.

* In ''Manga/MagicalGirlLyricalNanohaVivid'', resident {{Delinquent}} gang leader Harry Tribeca does it to [[SuperStrongChild Rio]] right before the start their match [[NeighbourhoodFriendlyGangsters after making sure that Rio was emotionally all right]].
* ''Manga/SnowWhiteWithTheRedHair'': Zen does this after [[spoiler:Touka Bergatt]] actually manages to further infuriate Zen by emotionlessly telling [[spoiler:Tariga]] that once he's killed him and [[spoiler:Tsuruba]] he'll simply replace them. Zen takes a moment to point his finger at [[spoiler:Touka]] and inform him that he's done being able to do as he pleases and is in the process of his defeat. The act also serves as a delaying tactic since Zen is injured, poisoned and aware that if he keeps fighting [[spoiler:Touka]] one on one in his current condition it's going to end in his own death so he's giving TheCavalry time to arrive.
