From what was left, Domon's nostalgia for sumo wrestling competitions got adapted as Katie missing her family, a much more emotional and feminine intake on the feeling; similarly, the subplot with Domon's relationship with a female photographer who discovered his identity was changed to a one-off deal between Katie and a male photographer who unmasked her that didn't go anywhere, due to males pursuing relationships being less common (and to make room for focus on the [[SpotlightStealingSquad Rangers who wore any]] [[LawOfChromaticSuperiority shade of red]]).

As a female {{Lancer}} was proven successful the previous season, Taylor got a better end of the stick than her yellow predecessor, who was TheBigGuy and therefore more expendable.

* The film version of ''SgtBilko'' turned Cpl Rocky Barbella into Cpl Raquelle Barbella. (Bilko's other sidekick, Cpl Henshaw, was given a RaceLift).

* In TheMultiverse of TheDCU, Earth-11 is an AlternateUniverse where all the genders are flipped. Thus you have [[Comicbook/{{Superman}} Superwoman]] and [[{{Supergirl}} Superlad]], [[Comicbook/{{Batman}} Batwoman]], Alexis Luthor, [[WonderWoman Wonder Man]] (or Wonder Warrior, depending on your sources), and so on.

** In ''TheDarkKnightReturns'', a young girl becomes the new Robin. News reports about Batman's new sidekick don't know any better, and continue to call his assistant "Boy Wonder".

* Ms. Li from ''BatmanUnderTheRedHood'' is a female version of Mr. Li, a similar character from the original ''Under The Hood'' comic story.

** In the CBS adaptation of Sherlock Holmes called ''Series/{{Elementary}}'', John Watson has been changed to Joan Watson and is played by Creator/LucyLiu. As Liu is Chinese American, this is a RaceLift [[TwoferTokenMinority as well]].

* In DCComics' {{New 52}} version of ''TheGreenTeam'', Cecil Sunbeam, kid movie director, becomes Cecilia Sunbeam, starlet.

** ''{{Afghanis-tan}}'' (the Moe-tan version of the modern history of Afghanistan) and ''Hetalia'' are (probably) unintentional Gender Flips of ''each other''.

* In ''Webcomic/{{Homestuck}}'', [[spoiler: the Alpha Kids that are introduced in Act 6]] are meant to feel like Gender Flips of the main Kids. However, since John and Jade can be seen as Gender Flips as each other, their official Gender Flips just come across as [[{{Expy}} Expies]].

The plot's been changed sufficiently that you can't tell which one she's meant to be by her actions.

* SamuelBeckett was adamant that this not be done to ''WaitingForGodot''. When he took legal action against an all-female Dutch theater company and lost, he declared a ban on ''all productions of his plays'' in The Netherlands. Female casts have still gone ahead, but not without having to wrangle with his estate.
