** "The Hole" has Lord Hater eat an apple in front of Wander while the latter has his finger stuck in a black hole. He admits after doing so that he hates apples, indicating that he only did it because he saw that Wander wanted the apple and that eating it in front of him would upset him.

** Beholders have (ironically enough, given the size of their mouths) virtually no sense of taste, meaning that any food without an interesting texture falls into this. In case the nalfeshnee thing was making gnomes feel safe, beholders consider them to have "interesting texture", and they're so conveniently bite-sized...

* In ''TabletopGame/VampireTheMasquerade'', the Flaw "Prey Exclusion" means the vampire will specifically avoid blood from a certain type of person and will be penalized if made to drink from that type.

** In the pilot episode (the first "Operation: C.A.K.E.D.") the Delightful Children invite Laura Limpin, a.k.a. The Big Badolescent to their party as a bodyguard to keep the heroes at bay. Unfortunately, this turns out bad for the villains when Laura actually tries the cake and finds out it has coconut in it, which she hates.
** The whole team is revolted by tapioca pudding, and after unintentionally getting a tanker full of it, they're at a loss on how to get rid of the stuff. To their surprise -- and delight -- [[CouldHaveAvoidedThisPlot it's what the villains of the episode are after.]]

* ''Literature/NinaTanleven'': Nine’s dislike of coffee is brought up more than once, and she notes that she can't understand how “something can smell so good and taste so gross”.

* Tigger's dislike of honey in ''WesternAnimation/WinnieThePooh''. More apparent in the Disney adaptations than the original novels.

** Aunt May uses this as a BluffTheImposter in a ComicBook/CivilWar-era comic, when The Chameleon was impersonating Peter. The real Peter apparently hated oatmeal raisin cookies ("Yes, even mine."), which Chameleon-Peter accepted without hesitation and ate with relish. (These particular cookies were also laced with sedatives.)

* In Creator/AchievementHunter videos, several of their pranks involve this:
** The gang love screwing with Creator/GavinFree by using his hatred of wet bread against him, as he has a visceral gagging reaction to the mere mention of the subject. In their "Stink Jug" video, upon seeing the titular object, Gavin curls up in horror behind a bicycle and laments that it makes him not want to come into work.
** Trevor Collins has an equally intense hatred of pickles and will be disgusted at the mere mention of them. Naturally, some of his food challenges involved the food much to his horror, having once ran away screaming after being forced to try a pickle covered in cotton candy. When the annual Extra Life event comes around, his punishments almost always involve him being forced to eat some form of pickles, usually gagging or vomiting afterwards.
* Creator/ArinHanson holds a special disdain for almonds, not because of taste, but because of their environmental impact on bees. A RunningGag in the "Whodunnit? episode of the WebVideo/GameGrumps Ten Minute Power Hour is Arin yelling at everybody to stop buying almonds.

** ''Film/{{Captain Marvel|2019}}'', as part of a SomethingOnlyTheyWouldSay test to make sure ComicBook/NickFury is not a [[ShapeShifter Skrull]], ComicBook/CarolDanvers requests he reveal a detail about himself so odd no Skrull could ever make it up. Reluctantly, he admits that he cannot stand toast that is cut diagonally. Carol smirks, and then admits she already had enough information to believe him [[{{Troll}} and was just looking for a laugh.]]

** [[spoiler:Della Duck]] hates black licorice. Unfortunately, the [[spoiler:Oxy-Chew gum she has to use to survive on the moon]] tastes like black licorice.

* Every player character from the ''VideoGame/TalesSeries'' (with the exceptions of [[VideoGame/TalesOfTheAbyss Anise]] and [[VideoGame/TalesOfVesperia Yuri]]) has a least favorite food; some games even have a mechanical display of this (such as said food having less of an effect, or even the opposite effect, on said character).

* In ''Fanfic/LadyLuck'', Chloeacute; hates soup.

* During the Silver Age, DC used their heroes in advertisements for Hostess Fruit Pies. One had ''ComicBook/TheJoker'' reveal he does not like them. Everyone else considers this proof that Joker really is insane.

* In ''Series/TheWorstWitch'' fancfiction ''[[https://misshecatehardbroom.tumblr.com/tagged/thread%3Akitty Kitty]]'', Pippa Pentangle and Hecate Hardbroom don't like cupcakes, and Miss Hardbroom doesn't like doughnuts either.

* In ''WebVideo/DragonBallZAbridged'', Goku will [[ExtremeOmnivore eat just about anything]]: giant fish, baby dragons, [[ArsonMurderAndJaywalking pineapples on pizza]]... but he won't eat grapes or anything grape-flavored. That boy can't handle his grapes.
