** In "Through the Gates of the Silver Key", it's Yog-Sothoth. [[spoiler: Who reveals that Carter has been one of his avatars the whole time.]]

** Quite literally in ''Literature/AndAnotherThing'': Hillman Hunter, director of the planet Nano, when he is holding interviews with many deities to find a new god for everybody to worship. HilarityEnsues when Hillman Hunter realizes Cthulhu is (sort-of) dead and Cthulhu curses him off when he is forced to leave; he writes on the application "NO CALLBACK".

* Played for laughs in ''VideoGame/DragonAgeII'' -- "Mark of the Assassin". Isabela claims to see Flemeth, the immortal shapeshifter with almost godlike powers, at the Hanged Man. Apparently, she threatens to turn people into toads and eat their babies if they beat her at cards.

** [[OptionalPartyMember Recruiting]] OlympusMons is [[OncePerEpisode par the course]], but ''VideoGame/RaidouKuzunohaVsKingAbaddon'' addresses the ramifications, especially when demons jump in during [[EnemyChatter negotiations]]. For example, HilarityEnsues when the HorsemenOfTheApocalypse try to hold a normal conversation only for the other party to ''flee in terror'' at the first opportunity.

*** While Elizabeth isn't evil, she is still [[{{Superboss}} one of the most deadly foes in the game]] and the motivations of her and Igor are left highly ambiguous. However in the UpdatedRerelease, the protagonist has the delightful option of escorting [[DarkMagicalGirl the princess of darkness]] around town on several innocent dates where Elizabeth's [[NoSocialSkills lack of knowledge on human social behaviour]] causes [[HilarityEnsues hilarity to ensue]]. For bonus points, [[DidYouJustRomanceCthulhu you even get to sleep with her]], and unlike the other romance options, there is no doubt whatsoever what happened during the FadeToBlack.

** TheHeartless are bloodthirsty creatures of id that want to consume the hearts of everything...and the White Mushrooms just want to play charades.

** According to ''WesternAnimation/MonstersInc'', the Abominable Snowman is actually a very welcoming host, who often wonders why he wasn't known as the 'Adorable Snowman', or the 'Agreeable Snowman'. He also happens to be very good at making [[ToiletHumour (ostensibly)]] [[YellowSnow lemon snowcones.]]

*** Her brother Theodore from the [[UsefulNotes/PlaystationPortable PSP]] version is just as dangerous in combat, and possibly even more of a FishOutOfWater when it comes to dealing with human society.

* ''Webcomic/KillSixBillionDemons'': During ''Seeker of Thrones'', Allison attempts to find out what happened to her not-quite-boyfriend Zaid by seeking out Nadia Om ("Mottom" to the reader), the DimensionLord of her universe (as well as 111,110 others) and sneaks into her royal court. Mottom, upon catching her, [[NoMrBondIExpectYouToDine offers her dinner]] and explains to her the fundamentals of how [[BigBadEnsemble the Seven]] and their rulership of The Multiverse works, pointing out that while killing Allison would give her as much difficulty as trimming her fingernail, the fact that she's no threat to her at all (and is connected to Zaid, who is a much more important person to Mottom) makes her more useful alive than dead anyway.

* In some versions, the Grim Reaper, aka Death, fits this trope as Death does it's job and is not exactly evil.

* ''Wiki/SCPFoundation'': SCP-2703 is a piece of 'for a good time, call...' bathroom graffiti that summons a surprisingly classy whateversheis who will happily accompany you for a nice evening out on the town. Assuming one doesn't mistake her for a prostitute (platonic good times only!) and isn't put off by the tentacles, she's incredible company.

An EldritchAbomination is [[DarkIsNotEvil not necessarily evil]]. There's every chance that the creature is misunderstood and actually friendly. Even if it doesn't follow any known laws of reality, it's not a certainty that it's evil.

** Ironically, at the exact same time, [[spoiler:Mustang]] is ''actually having tea'' with [[spoiler:Wrath]], while the homunculus explains some BackStory and outlines a little of the EvilPlan. Same as [[spoiler:Father]], [[spoiler:Wrath]] has no interest in killing [[spoiler:Mustang]] since he is a valuable human sacrifice, and pretty much just wants to lay things out on the table so [[spoiler:Mustang]] will get enough answers to placate him for the time being and will also understand just how screwed he is and presumably back off. [[spoiler:Which of course doesn't really work]].

Similar to PalsWithJesus, but here we have the added weirdness that the creature seems scary. Contrast with EnemiesWithDeath, where the menacing cosmic figure is ''hostile''. Related to NoMrBondIExpectYouToDine and VillainOverForDinner, but here the other party seems genuinely friendly. Often used to show the Villain is AffablyEvil or an AntiVillain. May be part of an EnemyMine, or overlap with DontFearTheReaper. If things go beyond this, you may be in DidYouJustRomanceCthulhu territory. A distant relative of GoKartingWithBowser. If you didn't know it was that bad until ''after'' you had tea, it's ... a twisted subversion of GodWasMyCopilot? MonsterRoommate is similar, but more permanent. An AdorableAbomination is more likely to overlap with this trope.

* ''VideoGame/BaldursGateIII'' has Withers, an immensely powerful undead necromancer who acts as a MysteriousProtector to the party after they unearth him from an ancient tomb, tagging along with them on their adventure and resurrecting them if they die. [[spoiler:It's very heavily implied that he's secretly the previous GodOfTheDead Jergal, seeking to punish the [[GreaterScopeVillain Dead Three]] for misusing the powers he gave them.]]

* In ''Fanfic/WhenReasonFails'', [[spoiler:Shoto is dumbfounded when Izuku feeds a PhysicalGod called the Outsider of Existence his bento]].

* Amongst ''VideoGame/{{Touhou}}'' fans, "tea parties" are a euphemism for DefeatMeansFriendship, as the [[PhysicalGod actual Gods]] and millennium-old monsters of unstoppable power (who just happen to be [[CuteMonsterGirl cute girls]]) all eventually wind up joining the party at Reimu's shrine that occurs in at least one ending of any given game. Said "tea at the shrine" endings [[WordOfGod have been confirmed as the canonical outcome]] to ''every game'' save ''Immaterial and Missing Power'', and even then, [[spoiler:the resident Cutethulhu decides to settle down and move in with the heroine]]. And even THEN, the game's story was about preventing said parties (which now included 80% of the EOSD and PCB cast (!)) from getting out of hand.
