* ''VideoGame/StarWarriorII'': Vie, the daughter of Dia's leader, runs off with the key to Alta and refuses to return to base. She's also very rude to the party when they try to get her to return, though if they don't tell Emilio about her, she'll help them defeat the Falchion and warms up to them. She also reveals that she's exploring Alta against her father's wishes because she wants to find out what happened to her missing mother. This makes it all the more tragic when [[spoiler:she turns out to be the host of the Cosmic Darkness, and it's implied that her desire to explore Alta was partially influenced by the Darkness as a ploy to lure the Star Warriors into the Deep]].

* ''Film/TheWhale'': {{Exaggerated|Trope}} in [[Creator/SadieSink Ellie]]. She is rude, standoffish, and confrontational until the last moments of the movie, when Charlie finally breaks down her defenses. [[TheBully Cyberbullying]] is also a thing with her, as shown when she fat shames her own father on the internet. Her mother says she has done that to several people several times over; she recently got suspended for threatening someone online.

Misuse

A standard member of the DysfunctionalFamily, the Bratty Teenage Daughter is a natural offspring of the BumblingDad and [[WomenAreWiser his level-headed wife]] (who herself may have been one). The Bratty Teenage Daughter is a whiny, self-involved girl at That Age. She obsesses over the latest fashions and is incredibly boy-crazy, often more so than her parents think. The two may combine to create [[ParentalFashionVeto conflict with her parents over what she wears.]] If she ever dates someone, expect her father to instantly turn into a BoyfriendBlockingDad. Basically, she will either go around acting like a DramaQueen and {{wangst}}ing up over every minor little thing ("[[WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic My life is ruined!]]") or else she will just roll her eyes exasperatedly at the "wacky" hijinks the rest of the family gets up to, often becoming a bit of a sullen killjoy in the process.

Added DiffLines:

* ''Fanfic/LightOfTheMoon'': A gender-inverted version. Rapunzel is, of course, as far from this trope as can be, while Varian, who's been kept at the tower against his will (and isn't allowed to talk about it) since he was eight, regularly snarks at "Aunt Gothel" and does everything he can to make her regret kidnapping him. That said, she's keeping him there under threat of [[IWillPunishYourFriendForYourFailure killing his father]], so he has to make sure that he doesn't tick Gothel off too much.

* Downplayed with Kei from ''Manga/KaguyaSamaLoveIsWar'' as her teenage angst is mostly focused on her father and older brother (primarly the latter due to him filling the void of their absent mother). With everyone else she's rather well behaved.

* ''WesternAnimation/MiraculousLadybug'': Chloé Bourgeois’ father Andre is not only Mayor of Paris but also a hotel owner. It’s no surprise she’s spoiled and used to getting what she wants, throwing tantrums, or doing petty things out of revenge when she doesn’t. [[spoiler: She gets it from her mother.]]

* Candace of ''WesternAnimation/PhineasAndFerb''. High-strung, to boot. Though she's a more minor example. A more major one from the show would be Vanessa, but having an "evil" goofball for a father would do that to any girl.

** Amethyst is the "rebellious teen" of the Crystal Gems and is frequently at odds with Pearl, the "mother" of the team.
** Flashbacks show Pearl acting rather petulant when she was younger, mostly towards Greg, [[ClingyJealousGirl especially for things involving Rose]].
** After Lapis Lazuli is defused from Malachite, she has a consistent attitude of apathy and untrusting aloofness. [[SugarAndIcePersonality She shows a warmer side]] toward Steven and, eventually, Peridot.
** A flashback dream in "Jungle Moon" reveals Pink Diamond to have been a mix of this and AnnoyingYoungerSibling to Yellow Diamond, with Yellow Diamond acting like an [[AloofBigBrother Aloof Big Sis]] who gets fed up when her bratty fellow Diamond gets in the way of her work. Pink Diamond, clearly trying to get Yellow's attention, whines that she deserves her own army and colony since she's a Diamond and thus just as important as Yellow Diamond. Yellow Diamond snaps that Pink Diamond sure isn't ''acting'' very important. The dream ends with Pink Diamond smashing a window in hurt frustration. And by the way, Pink is about twelve feet tall, [[LargeRunt but still completely dwarfed by the other Diamonds]].

Her most valued personal possession is the phone. She talks and/or texts [[PhoneaholicTeenager endlessly]] on it with her friends, and breaks down when she's without it. In older media, this will lead to a confrontation with Mom where she tells her to stop tying up the phone lines. Today, these confrontations are likely to revolve around her being glued to her phone 24/7, or the loss of phone privileges as a punishment.

* ''Series/EverythingNow'': Although her mom deserves some of it, Mia can be extremely rude to her. She openly even cusses her mom to her face multiple times. It stems from their issues and her mom appears used to Mia being like this with her.

* ''ComicBook/KaijuDayz'': Pestania is hotheaded and overconfident, resenting Big Mama's stern parenting and seeking to prove she's just as--if not more--capable than her brother Junior, the family's golden child. Her punk aesthetic is helped by her sporting a mohawk and spikes evocative of studs.
