The trope is averted at the end after the protagonist's alloted time expires, meaning that he is no longer a client, and therefore they are spending time together as lovers. ** In Creator/{{CLAMP}} manga in general, it's actually far more common than not for couples/people with close relationships to express their affection in ways that are [[ChastityCouple anything but kissing on the lips]]. 20+ manga series to their name and [[LoadsAndLoadsOfCharacters countless characters]] with pairings and [[ShipTease potential pairings]], and the number of times CLAMP has drawn a kiss scene totals to about 7. And notably, almost all of them have the scene obscured in some manner.

* Taken UpToEleven in ''Film/YoungFrankenstein''. Frederick tries to kiss Elizabeth before heading to Transylvania, but she refuses, afraid her lipstick will get smudged. He tries to caress her head, but she worries about her hairdo. He tries to embrace her, but she worries about her taffeta dress being wrinkled. Finally they rub their elbows together, and he blows her a kiss, which she dodges.

* In ''Film/RaidersOfTheLostArk'' Indiana Jones complains about his body hurting when Karen tries to treat him. Karen exasperatedly asks him where it doesn't hurt, and he throws up his elbow- and she kisses it. He then points to his forehead. She kisses that, and then he points to a corner of his mouth. As she goes in for a kiss he falls asleep, exhausted.

* In ''Fanfic/AnAnthemForShelteredBays'', after hearing Eren's [[EnthrallingSiren singing]], Levi ends up kissing and biting everywhere else on Eren's body, only for Eren to stop him when he tries to kiss him on the lips.

* In ''Film/TheLastFiveYears'', several of the songs, which were sung as alternating solos onstage, have been blocked as passionate makeout scenes with both actors. Only problem is that you can't kiss someone and sing at the same time.
