* The ''StarControl'' games had the aliens as ''[[DropTheCow cows]]''.
** Of course, they're not Earth cows as such; they're a [[IntelligentGerbil cow-like species]] found on other planets. The discovery that the aliens are the cows is foreshadowed by your research team, which notes that these cows are showing up on a LOT of planets. Suspiciously many of them, in fact. This only shows up in the third game, though.
