* When Chrono of Manga/ChronoCrusade transforms from his SleepModeSize into his true form, he goes from wearing a red coat over a 1920's-esque outfit into a BadAss jacket (sans shirt) and pants. When he returns to his childlike form, his usual outfit reappears. (This causes a very interesting sight to happen later in the manga--when part of his coat is blown away before his transformation is triggered, after his switch back to his child form part of his coat is in tatters. Which causes one to wonder...how can his coat can be damaged by bullets, but doesn't get destroyed when he grows an extra foot or two and gains abs and a six pack?)

** In Anime/DigimonTamers the final evolution's TransformationSequence - Biomerge Evolution - does not show what happens to the human partners' clothing during the process. Perhaps this has the same explanation as "Digimon have no gender" being the reason that the human partner has no naughty bits during the sequence - Digimon also technically don't wear "clothes".

* In Anime/DogDays[='=] second season, when several characters are de-aged, their clothing doesn't shrink with them. Yukikaze remedies the situation by using one of her ninjutsu to alter the outfits, but when everyone is returned to normal, they remember this a few seconds too late and everyone ends up shredding their now child-sized outfits.

*** The Metamoran Fusion Dance comes provided with a jacket and pants, always the same style no matter what were the fusees wearing. The only exception to this rule seems to be when both fusees are nude.

* Allen Walker, the protagonist of DGrayMan, has a left arm made of Innocence. When he activates it, it becomes a huge, armored claw that goes all the way up to his shoulder, even though he usually wears long sleeves. Lampshaded in one of the manga volumes, where he answers a reader's question about it.

** This is also averted with Akira, the protagonist of the original Devilman series. Whenever he returns to his human form he is left completely naked, as his transformations are of the ShapeshiftingExcludesClothing variety.

* In XamdLostMemories, turning into a Xam'd apparently rips through your clothes, yet when you turn back, the clothes are fully intact. Somehow. The similar Humanform Weapons also seem to tear through their clothing but we never really see what happens when they turn back to human (IF they even can).
* Lampshaded by Yusuke in YuYuHakushoAbridged. "His pants know just when to stop ripping, don't they."
