* BalefulPolymorph: The boys were only children when they transformed into birds, but they were men when they were saved. It's implied that they matured as any normal human might, which means they went through all the craziness of puberty... As birds.
* BeCarefulWhatYouWishFor: This is the main theme to the story. The father thoughtlessly wishes for his sons to turn into ravens, so they do. Notably, a thought''ful'' wish undoes the curse.

She finds the glass mountain, and has lost the bone. The door to the mountain is locked, so she cuts off her finger and uses it to unlock the door. She meets a dwarf, who informs her that the ravens will soon return. While she waits, she finds a dinner table set up for the ravens and eats a bit off of all the plates. Her parents' ring falls into the last flask that she drinks from. Her brothers fly back, examine the mess she made, and fiddle with the flasks. The ring falls out of the flask and the ravens recognize it. One of the ravens prays to God that, if they sister was there in the mountain, they would be saved from their curse. Hearing this, and since their sister was indeed there, the ravens are freed from their curse.

I figured I might as well expand this article. I recently read this story for a class in the original German.

'''''The Seven Ravens''''' is a German FairyTale collected by the BrothersGrimm.

A family with seven sons finally has a daughter. She is sickly, and her father sends her brothers to get water for baptism. They, in their eagerness to obey, drop the jug in the well. The father, thinking they are playing, curses them, and they turn into ravens.

The girl, growing up, learns this. She goes to find them. She meets the sun, which frightens her off, and the moon, which does as well, but the stars are kindly and give her a drumstick, which she will need.

She finds the glass mountain where they live, and has lost her drumstick. She cuts off her finger and uses it to unlock the door. Her brothers fly back and are free from the curse.
