As happens with a lot of best-selling kids' books, an AnimatedAdaptation was produced in Canada[[note]]Interestingly, this is actually the ''second'' cartoon adaptation of Dav Pilkey's books, the first being the 1998 cartoon of ''Literature/TheDumbBunnies'', which was also made in Canada[[/note]]. It was created by the Quebec studio Cité-Amérique entirely using StopMotion animation, with the title character and TheNarrator being voiced by Canadian actor and puppeteer Creator/FrankMeschkuleit. It aired on Creator/TreehouseTV from 2004 to 2007, running for a total of 78 twelve-minute episodes over 3 seasons. It also aired on Creator/{{Qubo}} in the United States

* AdaptationDeviation: The AnimatedAdaptation adapts some of the original Pilkey books, but takes some liberties (some done in order to stretch out the runtime to 11 minutes). For instance, in the animated version of ''A Friend for Dragon'', Dragon's "friend" is a rock instead of an apple.
