* The world in the French comic ''ComicBook/DeCapeEtDeCrocs'' mixes up humans and {{Funny Animal}}s, and such romances seem common enough. The two main characters (a wolf and a fox) are in love with human women, while the wolf recounts once how his previous wife was a she-wolf. There is also a dog courting a woman in a flashback story.

** While they used to be human and became undead being in the afterlife, the main protagonist Requiem is a vampire while his girlfriend Rebecca is a ghost, and a [[CuteGhostGirl sexy one at that rather than being scary]].
** Black Sabbat (Vampire) and Aiwass ([[OurDemonsAreDifferent Lord of Chaos]]) are an [[UnholyMatrimony evil example]] of this trope.

* Mossy earth elemental Comicbook/SwampThing and his human wife Abigail Arcane. Played with considering the nearby town finds out and convicts her of {{bestiality|IsDepraved}}. Abby flees to Gotham City where the police hold her, causing Swamp Thing to go ballistic to free her. Franchise/{{Batman}} finally talks the Mayor into giving in considering that if he wants to hold Abby for having a relationship outside their species, then he'd better arrest half the superhero community - such as [[ComicBook/MartianManhunter the Martian]], [[ComicBook/TeenTitans the Tamaranean]], and, oh, [[Franchise/{{Superman}} that guy in Metropolis.]] The Mayor's [[OhCrap expression]] conveyed all that needed to be said about how ''insane'' a move that would be.
