* In Blood Feud before before Steve Rigsby's death he see's a picture of his grandson and has a huge smile while doing so. Additionally he does make it clear that despite the tension between he and Wayne he is proud of him as he grew up to be in his own words: "A man worthy of respect" and his last act before he dies, wanting to go with Wayne to meet his grandson. Both heartwarming and a tearjerker.

* In Somethings Rotten in Redmund, the episode starts out with clues showing that the victim wasn't really ethical. However as the episode goes on it becomes clearer and clearer that the victim was genuinely a good teacher who never gave up on his students and all the things found. The prostitute he picked up? A former student he was treating to breakfast while trying to convincer her to go back to school. The ecstacy in his car? Confiscated from a student.

* Red Mile Jane spends the entire episode with Steiner the Coroner hardly messing with him at all because, Steiner is dying, Throughout the episode we watch just giving Steiner a fun time letting him get involved in the investigation so he may one last hurrah for his final case. The episode ends with Steiner asking Jane to witness his suicide so that he wont be the body in his own autopsy, Jane despite not feeling comfortable about it ultimately does so and performs a coin trick to keep Steiner distracted from his imminent death with Steiner giving Jane a sincere "Thank you." as his last words.

* Rigsby and Van Pelt finally getting together is [[SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome awesome]], but Rigsby's speech beforehand is so incredibly sweet. "I don't care about the CBI. I don't care about the rules. I love you. Unless you stop me, I'm going to kiss you now."
** [[TheyDo And he does.]]

* Whatever of "Ruby Slippers" that wasn't a colossal tearjerker. Basically, [[spoiler:the team determines that a gay kid initially thought to be a murder victim committed suicide, but Jane figures out that it was staged: the kid ''had'' been suicidal, but a group of drag queens convinced him not to kill himself, and then helped him fake his death so he could get away from everyone who hurt him and start a new life.]] The episode ends with Fifi Nix singing "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" and Lisbon getting choked up.

* In "Bloodsport", Cho lying to cover for Rigsby when Rigsby is suspected (correctly, he admits) of falsifying an alibi for his father. It does create some tension between them, but the fact remains that Cho, who is usually as {{By The Book|Cop}} as they come, lies to an investigator and puts his own career at risk rather than tell the truth that would get Rigsby into trouble.

He wouldn't do that for just anyone.
