[[AC:The cartoon]]

* Late in "The Missing Link," Ganon states that Zelda is able to see Link's non-corporeal form due to ThePowerOfLove. Both Link and Zelda are in earshot of this. Zelda profusely denies this to Link...
--> '''Link''': Yes you do!! Yes you do!! *sings* That's why you can seeeee meeeee!!!! *stands up on a ledge to proclaim the glorious news to the rest of Level-9*
--> '''Zelda''': Get down, you idiot!! They'll hear you!!
--> '''Link''': ''ZELDA LOVES ME!!! ZELDA LOVES ME!!! ZELDA '''LOVES''' ME!!!''
* In "That Sinking Feeling," Zelda is overjoyed at a picnic Link has set up and glomps him. She's just about to kiss him when Ganon attacks and ruins the mood.

* After winning the bird-riding contest, Link is flying back toward Skyloft when Zelda excitedly jumps out into the clouds. Link hurriedly swoops in to catch her, after which Zelda nonchalantly says that she's fine. It's a relatively minor scene, but it does a whole lot to flesh out the cute relationship that Link and Zelda have.

[[folder: A Link To The Past]]
* The end credits, without a doubt. EveryoneLives. Your uncle, the king, the Flute Boy (or is it Ocarina?) and his father. And though the ending doesn't show it, the old man on the mountain undoubtedly reunited with his granddaughter. All set to CrowningMusicOfAwesome.
** Sahasarahla's homecoming: You see the elder who hides from evil throughout the game with his wife and grandson, and before this you never knew. The camera sweeps down and shows the two brothers who were so mad they sealed up the doors to their rooms, happily together. The bird that was trapped in the statue flies happily around where it was.
** The Bully makes a Friend: The fickle boy who turned into a ball in the DarkWorld and kept on being bullied by the short tempered person who turned into an ogre? BFFs who play Tag.
** Your Uncle Recovers: He dies in the beginning of the game before passing his sword, shield and legacy on to you. Self explanatory.
** The bug catching kid has happily recovered from his disease and got his favorite Net back.
** Overall one of the best endings that shows what the Hero has done by bringing peace to Hyrule.
* The extra ending from the GameBoyAdvance version, in which Link brings peace back to the not-so-bad Dark World. The animals are no longer [[EverythingTryingToKillYou vicious]] and trap Ganon's minions as they dance around living naturally, the thieves in Thieves' Town sharing loot, the money-loving Monkey juggling his cash happily, the lion-like enemies rule Death Mountain and the Cyclops playing catch with bombs.

[[folder:Link's Awakening]]
* There is the scene after the credits in Link's Awakening where [[spoiler:it is implied that Marin's dream of becoming a seagull and flying away from the island comes true]]. But only if you complete the game without dying once.
* How about the talk between Marin and Link on the beach? And all the fun things they can do together after that, like get their pictures taken or play the trendy game? It's disappointing that without a glitch or cheat you can't keep Marin in your party forever.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Ocarina of Time]]
* Mido is the resident bully in young Link's hometown, Kokiri Forest. After Link finds the Master Sword and travels seven years in the future where [[spoiler:Ganondorf has taken over Hyrule]], Mido guards the Forest Temple on Saria's wishes. When [[spoiler: Saria is revealed to be a sage and leaves the forest for the temple of light]], Mido asks the grown up Link (whom he no longer recognizes) to tell Link that Saria really liked him and that he's sorry for being mean to him. Awwwww....
** There's a good chance that that Mido ''did'' realize that it was Link, and the whole thing was his way of saying sorry to Link while unable to fully admit that it was Link.
*** "I don't know why, but when I see you, you remind me of...him."
* The final farewells between Link and each sage:
--> '''Saria:''' Saria will always be your friend.
--> '''Darunia:''' Remember: You and I are now true brothers!!
* After [[spoiler:the player defeats Ganondorf for the first time and Link and Zelda get out of the collapsing tower]], Link and Zelda hear a noise from the rubble. Instead of jumping or gasping in surprise like any other person, Link's instinctive reaction is to throw his arm protectively in front of Zelda.
* The ending credits of ''Ocarina of Time'', where all of the people of Hyrule gather at Lon Lon Ranch to celebrate the end of Ganondorf's regime. Highlights include Talon and Ingo drunkenly and happily leaning on each other like old friends, and the Cucco woman playing with her birds (ignoring her allergy to them). At the end, we pan to Death Mountain, where the Sages gather to look out in triumph over the land they have helped to save, with Saria riding piggyback on Darunia's back and Nabooru and Ruto sharing a significant look (with the implication that both pairs have become friends, based on their mutual love of the forest and attraction to Link respectively).
** Let's not forget that the '''''first''''' thing Link does when he returns to his original (young) timeline, is '''go and find Zelda in her castle'''. Cue ''THE END'' still-shot, complete with "Old Film" style screen coloring. Could possibly be considered a [[OneTruePairing OTP]] moment.
* Also: the baby Deku Tree. Yes, it [[WhatDoYouMeanItsNotSymbolic WAS symbolic]].
* The AdOfWin for the 3DS port. Robin Williams, truely OneOfUs, narrates, comparing his the admiration for his daughter (named after Princess Zelda) to his feelings for the legendary princess. [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bINUfbLV_0M You can watch it here.]]
-->'''Robin Williams:''' The first time I saw you, I knew we would be [[JustForPun linked]] forever. For you I traveled to the four corners of the world. I faced adversity. I became a hero.
-->'''Zelda Williams:''' Dad?
-->'''Robin Williams:''' I saved your kingdom!
-->'''Zelda Williams:''' Dad!
-->'''Robin Williams:''' ...yes, Zelda?
-->'''Zelda Williams:''' Are you mixing me up with the princess again?
-->'''Robin Williams:''' Hard to say, you're both pretty magical!
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Majora's Mask]]
* The reunion of Kafei and Anju in ''Majora's Mask''. Reunited lovers? Pssh. Reunited lovers getting married ''as the world ends,'' while they talk about how much they love each other? Dude.
** The mailman's line around the same time, mere hours before the moon falls: "To...to...to...[[{{Determinator}} tomorrow's delivery is still scheduled!"]]
* And, of course, a very simple screen with nothing more than ordinary text on a blank background, that makes it all worth it: [[spoiler:Dawn of A New Day]].
* Romani ranch. If you fail to save Romani on the first night, she becomes a semi-mute, heavily traumitized psuedo-zombie when she is returned a little while later. However, completing the entire sidequest and coming back on the final night reveals that Cremia is giving her younger sister a Romani Mask to signify her becoming an adult. Romani is excited, but Cremia morose because she realises the world is about to end. The last words Cremia says to her sister are, "Romani... sleep with me in my bed tonight, OK?" A CM of H and a TearJerker all in one.
** Also, the scene where Cremia is giving Link a ride to town. Particularly:
-->''In town...I have a friend. Her name's Anju...The day after tomorrow is her wedding.''
*** Also, after you've gotten Romani's Mask, when you go back and defend the delivery again, Cremia either gives link a Huge (200) rupee, or, a hug. And I know, we all laugh at the hug for what [[MarshmallowHell it ends up being.]] But think about how many times Link has ever been hugged. This is likely the first one he's recieved in quite a while. The fact that his face is pressed into her boobs is just a bonus.
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WMVY-45wwpc Removing the curse on Pamela's father]].
*** The kicker to that scene is that if you try fighting him before healing him, you're treated to a cut scene of Pamela running in to stop you, and then begging her father to remember her. He crawls back into the closet, and she practically screams at Link to forget everything he'd seen and leave.
* The cutscene where you learn the rest of the Goron Lullaby, especially the end. And then this:
-->"It's just like...daddy's...right...beside me..." ''(falls asleep)''
** [[spoiler: A LOT sadder when you consider that his dad is probably dead because it's so cold out there... ]]
*** [[spoiler: Until you go back after beating Goht and he turns out to be alive and well. Then he tries to persuade you to become chief, which is a [=CMoH=] all by itself once all the Gorons start cheering for "Darmani". Especially when you remember the real Darmani's cutscene, and know it's just what he would have wanted.]]
* The defeat of [[spoiler:Skull Keeta]]: [[spoiler: After you beat him in a rather [[RedundantDepartmentOfRedundancy challenging challenge]], he grants you his "soul" (the captain's hat mask), begs you to tell his men the war is over, then asks "Orders, captain?" Cue silence as you think a Song of Healing prompt is coming up. Instead, Link stands there for a second, then dismisses the captain with a slow, heartfelt salute. "Understood! Thank you captain!"]]
* When Tatl chose to leave her brother Tael behind and [[spoiler:follow you into the Moon to fight Majora's Mask]] instead of just leaving you once she and Tael were together again like she said when the first met.
** Which is good, because without a fairy the Majora battles would go from easy-but-fun to frustratingly difficult.
* The end credits. A giant compilation of heartwarming moments depicting the happy resolve of everything you saw during the game.
** The moon finally goes away and the soldiers rejoice.
** The giants make peace with the skull kid.
** The carnival begins.
** The zoras perform their much-awaited concert.
** Great Bay is calm, with clear waters.
** The spirits of Ikana are at rest, except for the ever-quarreling royal guards.
** The monkeys and the dekus live together in peace.
** The postman cheerfully returns to his work.
** Kamaro's dance lives on through the Rosa sisters and their creepy soldier-stalker guy.
** Romani continues her archery with Cremia, who cheers her on.
** The bomb shop owner and his mom leisurely sit on their doorstep.
** Grog is surrounded by his crested, feathered friends.
** Gorman gets his wish of seeing his beloved song performed by the zoras.
** Soldiers, zoras and salesmen gather to hear Guru-guru's playing.
** Pamela and her father are a happy family once more.
** Anju and Kafei's friends and family come together for their wedding.
** ...TearJerker as the Deku butler [[spoiler: cries over his son's remains]] and
** Link leaves Termina and notices a quaint carving on a tree stump.
*** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Db15jJl9Gfk#t=10m10s And the jewel-encrusted tip of the crown to the ending]] - the very simple "Saria's Song" melody playing exactly one time.
* When speaking to the owner of the [[FrothyMugsofWater milk bar]] on the final hours (with the Romani mask, without it his non-mask dialogue isn't so heartwarming), he tells you that he refused to leave because, even if it will be his undoing, he's the kind of guy who will stay with his business in the end. Then he adds that he also stayed out of the faint hope his favorite customers will appear. Cue a ping to the heart when he says "And I wasn't wrong. See? You stepped in." Much more heartwarming when you've stopped by the bar right after reuniting Anju and Kafei, and adds more awesome to it [[LetsGetDangerous right before you set off to kick demonic mask-ass]].
* More or less any person you add to your Bomber's Notebook can be this. In addition to the above, you can do little things to cheer people up like giving a nameless man paper to wipe his ass with, or helping a man whose only wish is to watch his chickens grow up to their prime by accelerating their growth into roosters.
* While most of the Clock Town citizens would panic or spend their final hours in remorse before you could make their lives better, Shikashi (the old man at the Astral Observatory) will say that despite the end coming near, he's happy to have lived a long, meaningful life.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:The Wind Waker]]
* In ''Wind Waker'', Link's grandmother gets sick and delirious in the first half of the story. When you get back, she's begging you and your sister not to leave "your poor grandma all alone." If you cure her with a fairy [[hottip:* :and really, [[VideoGameCaringPotential why wouldn't you try?!]]]], she gives a real [[TearJerker tear jerker]] of a speech about how she'll try to be strong.
** What makes it even sweeter is that it's a rare moment of Link having someone else show parental love for him. After so many games of him being pretty much alone to go risk his life in monster-infested dungeons and temples, how many times has he had someone say "I should be the one taking care of you"?
* The entire ending of WindWaker: [[spoiler: from the King's HeroicSacrifice, Hyrule's destruction, and finally Link setting off with the Pirates to find a new land]] everything fills you with a sense of hope for the future.
--->'''King''': I have scattered the seeds... of the future...
* Pretty much any scene with both Link and Tetra in it can be enough to make any gamer's stone heart turn all mushy...
* The whole final fight. You were not fighting for Hyrule: [[spoiler:all that was being destroyed around you]]. The only thing you were doing was fighting for your own lives so you could go find a new land.
* Don't forget the moment when you finally rescue poor Makar from the Forbidden Forest.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:The Minish Cap]]
* Princess Zelda selecting the tiny shield as her prize and presenting it to Link.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Twilight Princess]]
* A very brief moment in ''Twilight Princess'', during part one of the extensive final battle (battles?) at Hyrule Castle. After successfully working together to win part of the fight, Link stands holding his sword, and Midna drifts over to lean companionably against his shoulder. They grin at each other in a very "I've got your back, buddy" kind of way.
* Also, Colin's speech when he wakes in Link's arms after being rescued from King Bulblin is damn near heartbreaking with its youthful earnestness.
* One from the last battle. [[spoiler:After Link and Ganondorf's final showdown on Hyrule Field, the ancient enemy staggers to his feet to be mouthy one last time before the Triforce of Power abandons him and he finally dies (standing up no less), the camera shows the three wielders of the Triforce standing together for the last time. While Link gazes upon the defeated King of Evil, Zelda stands behind him; she bows her head and clasps her hands. What she is most likely doing is praying for the soul of her enemy.]]
* The most indisputable example of this trope for the whole series has to be [[spoiler: Midna's return by literal Deus Ex Machina, and Link running full tilt to welcome her back]].
** More importantly, that scene was definitely a moment of Awesome, Heartwarming, and Funny all in one. For once, someone gives our HeroicMime a reason to be speechless.
* [[spoiler:Midna's being brought from the brink of death]] qualifies. You can TakeYourTime, but the labored breathing is surprisingly effective in creating a false sense of urgency. [[spoiler:She gets better, but realizes what a JerkAss she's been.]]
** It even shows in how she ''speaks,'' no less. After [[spoiler: Zelda revives her]], Midna speaks in a different, softer tone. It was a small detail, but a surprisingly effective one.
** "Ungh...L-Link...hurry to Zelda..." How could you possibly ''not''?
*** What puts it into overdrive is when you get to Zelda and realize that [[spoiler: Midna wasn't telling you to get there fast so she could be healed. She wants you to get there so she can tell Zelda ''how to help you!'']]
*** It's also the first time she actually calls Link by his name. [[FirstNameBasis She continues to use it in the game after that]], showing how their relationship has evolved.
* Also, when Zelda's soul is finally restored to her body and Midna is actually moved to tears, rendered unable to find the words to thank Zelda for what she's done for her ("Princess Zelda, I.....I....")
* I found it very cool that Louise, Telma's long-haired cat, hopped out into the rain and several inches of rainwater, just to show you a shortcut through the bar.
* Yeto and Yeta embracing each other when you finish the Snowpeak ruins. The simple, pure love the two yetis have for each other is touching.
** Those two are ridiculously adorable together anytime they make an appearance. Before the end of that dungeon, all Yeto does is worry about how ill Yeta is and fix a soup to make her better (which includes catching a fish which, according to the Zoras, is very difficult to get a hold of). After, you can find the two of them hanging around on the mountain peak, all happy and ready for some fun sledding down the slopes.
* What about the scene when Zelda receives the Light Arrows? She and Link stand alone in the ether, and she begs him to lend her the last of his considerable strength to save her kingdom. And ''bows'' to him -- she, the Princess of Hyrule, bows to a goat-herder, in a moment of true humility and grace. HeroicMime that he is, he doesn't get a cool line...he just gives her his hand.
* The scene in the end credits, which shows Shad, Ashei, and Auru performing an archaeological exploration of the ruins of the Temple of Time. Not only do you get your proof that they survived their portion of the fighting at Hyrule Castle, but Shad -- having devoted his life to trying to prove that the Oocca existed and having that aim fulfilled for him by Link -- has turned his scholarly mind to ever more pursuits for the good of Hyrule. (Also, it shows him and Ashei being quite chatty. Could they be an {{OTP}}?)
* How about [[spoiler:[[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EPE2lwm2TqY Midna's final farewell?]]]] It's a Tearjerker as well, but it's oh so heartwarming.
** I think this is a case of {{YourMileageMayVary}}, though.
** And there was some foreshadowing to this, too. [[spoiler:After defeating the Armagohma thing in the Temple of Time, Midna points out that it would probably be "better" to destroy the mirror after using it to save Hyrule and the Twilight Realm.]] At the time, [[WhatAnIdiot you shrug it off, saying to yourself,]] [[TemptingFate "As if! Nintendo wouldn't do that! They've made Link/Midna a practical]] {{OTP}} [[TemptingFate by this point, so they wouldn't do that to the fans, right? Right!]] [[DramaticIrony No reason to worry..."]]
* When you [[spoiler: first reach Gerudo Desert, Midna reveals the dark history of her people, the Twili. After her story, she reaches up and touches Link's cheek, asking if he's still up for this. Link just smiles.]]
* Um, Ilia getting her memory back, anyone? Come on, it's the cutest and most heartwarming scene in the game, especially after everything you went through to get it back, and seeing her finally recognize her childhood best friend after all this time...
* The whole plot arc about Queen Rutela, which is especially heartwarming in the credits, where [[spoiler: her spirit is seen watching over her son Ralis.]]
-->''"Tell him...his mother loves him without end..."''
* Midna and Link get yet another one near the end. [[spoiler:When you get the completed Fused Shadow back and Midna goes through a rather unpleasant-looking transformation, after she shatters the barrier around Hyrule Castle and the screen fades to white, we're treated to a scene of Link holding Midna, smiling, while Midna stares back into his eyes, clearly still woozy from the sudden power rush.]] It was this troper's favorite scene in the game.
* There is the moment in Hyrule Castle when the chest containing the Boss Key is in sight, and enemies begin to run towards you. Then a hawk swoops out of nowhere, and the camera cuts to it landing on Rusl's arm. He helped you out with the hawk you taught him to use.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Phantom Hourglass]]
* The ending of TheLegendOfZeldaPhantomHourglass: It appears it was AllJustADream, but then [[spoiler: Link finds the titular Hourglass and rushes to the other side of the ship JUST IN TIME to see Linebeck's ship on the horizon]]. (The music probably didn't help, either.) Just imagine it now, how [[spoiler: [[JerkWithAHeartOfGold Linebeck]] must have been looking back to Link, saying "You did good, kid."]]
* As divergent from the game as the manga of ''Phantom Hourglass'' was, they still did good with the scene where [[spoiler:Linebeck is possessed by Bellum. He would rather kill himself than attack Link, and it's the only means of defiance he has.]]
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Spirit Tracks]]
* The latest trailer for SpiritTracks features ghost-form Zelda, gleefully hovering around Link's CoolTrain, giggling, smiling and enjoying herself and her newfound freedom like never before. AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!
* Spirit Tracks has these in droves. After defeating [[spoiler: Byrne,]] Zelda gives a speech on ThePowerOfFriendship, after which she and Link stare romantically into each other's eyes...which is somewhat diminished by the fact that Zelda is stuck inside a huge and scary suit of armor.
** There's also their ''adorable'' little victory high-fives.
* After [[spoiler: regaining her body,]] Zelda gives Link a big hug. Link, for his part, seems a bit flustered.
* And of course, the big one comes just before the credits, as Link and Zelda [[spoiler: hold hands as they gaze into the sunset.]]
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Skyward Sword]]
* After winning the bird-riding contest, Link is flying back toward Skyloft when Zelda excitedly jumps out into the clouds. Link hurriedly swoops in to catch her, after which Zelda nonchalantly says that she's fine. It's a relatively minor scene, but it does a whole lot to flesh out the cute relationship that Link and Zelda have.
