* Ever since she was included into the mix, it's been ambiguous just how much Kitsune cared for Shredder, as she's been PlayingBothSides by encouraging Alopex to side with the Turtles and [[LadyMacbeth subtly influencing Shredder's decisions]]. However, when Splinter calls her out on this, she's visibly disturbed at the implication that she never truly cared about her "Dragon Warrior."

* Issue 55 shows Mikey at probably his lowest point to date. He's left his father and brothers over Splinter leading the Foot and then can't stay with his friends in the Mutanimals because of Old Hob's extremism, leaving him to move into the old lair alone. Right as he finishes cleaning up? His brothers drop by with a pizza to hang out with no pressure or judgement on his recent decision whatsoever.

* Issue #47. Hun and his Purple Dragons attack the O'Neil antiques shop. Casey, Angel and Alopex are massively outnumbered and things look dire...until in a combination of Awesome and Heartwarming pretty much the entire neighborhood joins in on their side, starting with April's decidedly non-combatant dad and a shopkeeper Casey saved from a mugging earlier. Ordinary New Yorkers with no mutant powers or ninja training rush out into the street and deliver a spectacular ass-kicking to Hun's Gang because Casey's inspired them to take a stand against their bullies.

** Why does Shredder ultimately reject Splinter's attempts to help him pass on? he promised to find a way back to his beloved, Kistune.

** In honor of Splinter, the five form the Splinter Clan and return to Mutant Town to build a dojo and to help the mutants there in general. In the distance, a smiling man can be seen retreating. Perhaps the most heartwarming moment of all, as it shows that Saki has been watching over his former enemies. It's highly implied that he's the one that returned Klunk.

* In issue 66, Nobody questions Raphael on the nature of his bond with Alopex. Raph expresses his concerns about how such a relationship would work, [[InterspeciesRomance seeing as he's a turtle and she's a fox]], but goes on to admit that he still really likes her. Why? Because the two of them [[NotSoDifferent aren't so different]], being loners who had trouble connecting with others until recently.

* Issue 110 showcases Hob in a different light for the first time since Slash's death, where he displays doubts over what he's been doing and how he's been running Mutant Town. The heartwarming moment comes when Zanna, the youngest of the three mutated-into-weasel young children living with the Splinter clan (who followed Leonardo without his noticing when he went to spy on Mutanimals headquarters), bursts into the room to greet Hob, as she still sees him and loves him as an adoptive father. Hob's reaction as he picks her up is one of absolute joy, his first genuine display of happiness with no sense of maliciousness since even before Slash's demise, and in another rarity for the one-eyed cat, when Mushroom and Zink also appear and the latter calls Hob out on his actions towards them (capturing them in a net to sell them off as soldiers for the Foot Clan) Hob displays genuine remorse and apologizes to them.

* In issue 4 of the crossover with Franchise/{{Batman}}, Raphael accuses Batman of being some sort of thrill-seeking rich boy who has no intention on getting Splinter or the other turtles home and bails. Batman picks him up in the Batmobile and takes him to Crime Alley and the spot where Thomas and Martha Wayne died. He explains that he never wants to see anyone's family shattered by something senseless and asks Raphael to help him help his family. He doesn't get a "yes", but the intent is very clear.

* Issue 105 continues with the good feelings:
** Everyone enjoys the concert in their own way - Jennika and Michelangelo revel in finally being able to enjoy social things like this, Mona Lisa rescues Donatello from being stuck in the mosh pit, Leonardo achieves a balanced state of mind amidst the high-energy crowd...even Raph and Alopex, who hate the loud music, find solace in each other.
** Speaking of Raphael and Alopex, they get the chance to share some playful banter before Raph apologizes for his [[JerkassWoobie behavior since Splinter died]] Alopex forgives him and they share a kiss, reinforcing that they're an OfficialCouple now.
** While Koya wants to attack the turtles while their guard is down, Bludgeon gently convinces her not to, pointing out that it wouldn't be fair to do so while they're enjoying some much-needed healing.
*** Also worth noting is that apparently, Karai ''didn't'' give them specific orders to attack, only to observe - whatever else she is after the TimeSkip, she may not be as ruthless as the Shredder once was.
** The two goons from a few issues earlier show up looking to get some payback from Jennika, until Leonardo defuses the situation by pointing out that really, they're ''all'' here to just enjoy some tunes. Micheangelo chipping in about this being their first concert surprises the tough guys, and they're last seen amicably chatting with Michelangelo.
** Later, at the dojo they've founded, the TMNT renew their vow to found a new clan, and honor the best part of Splinter's memory. They've finally begun to heal, and can move forward.
*** The perfect way to close out this scene? Alopex gets her own mask, [[SixthRanger becoming an official part of Clan Splinter!]]
** The following scenes show the turtles raising a new generation of Clan Splinter, encouraging them and bonding along the way. Even when a few of the younger students pick on their peer for being clumsy, Jennika talks to her to cheer her up, and encourages her that she can improve.
*** The final shot of the issue - a grown-up version of that same girl emerging from a time portal, wearing a ninja outfit - suggests that she took those words to heart.
