It's possible that Taylor is the only real friend Victoria has.

If the player has been nice to her, Max will bring up all the things she's done, making it that much easier to talk her down, instead of having to come up with excuses. Kate will eventually come around and fight off her suicidal thoughts upon recognising Max as a true friend, should the player continue to comfort her and tell her to be strong. She can then be seen in a hospital room during the end cutscene, surrounded by 'Get Well' balloons and looks happier than she has throughout the entire game thus far.]]

No matter how hard you try, there is ''no'' way you can hate a guy who would be able to write anything like that, even if in the end he didn't work up the courage to actually give it to Chloe (or maybe he did but she just refused to have it?).

* All the little ways that Max can comfort and help out Kate. Every time the player does something for her, she seems appreciative. Judging by all the graffiti about her and even the rude messages on the whiteboard outside her room, Max is the only person in the school that's nice to her.

* Max has the option to comfort Victoria after using her powers to cover her in paint. Max also internally sympathises with Victoria when she snoops around her dorm room and finds a rejection letter amongst her belongings.

* When Warren gets beaten up by Nathan to protect Max from getting hurt. He even sends her a reassuring text message later on, along with a selfie of him with a black eye and a grin.
