Indy (due to his former friendship with Oxley - and possibly remembering his father’s obsession with the Holy Grail in the last film - and thus knowing how Mutt must be feeling) puts a comforting hand on Mutt’s shoulder. This becomes even more heartwarming when the two realise they’re related.
