* Wade is a Jerkass, but he makes it clear that Jean and Scotty will never have to worry about money.
* Lou makes a rather harebrained mistake by not realizing that the criminals' car had dealer plates, but Marge corrects him in the most gentle way possible, then immediately cracks a joke to spare him any embarrassment. She's a good boss on top of everything else.

* It's a scene that draws attention to what a bad father Jerry is, but Stan Grossman being the only one to care about Jerry's son, Scotty, is genuinely sweet.

* Wade is a bit of a hardass and has difficulty expressing his feelings, but he makes it clear Jean and Scotty never have to worry about money, as he'll take care of them. Even his wanting to do the hostage negotiation himself is less out of greed and more out of being a [PapaWolf], not trusting Jerry to do it(who, secretly and admittedly, paid the kidnappers).

* In the last scene, Marge is most likely enjoying her fifteen minutes of fame due to her capturing a very dangerous murderer single-handedly. She'll have a few days of TV appearances, pictures in the newspaper, speeches to fellow officers around the state, etc. Meanwhile, Norm has had his own major achievement, and his face shows he is proud of himself, yet he does not tell Marge until they are about to go to bed, and then tries to downplay it as no big deal so as not to upstage his wife's recent success. Marge has to tell him that, yes, his mallard appearing on a three-cent stamp potentially used by millions is a very big deal, and that they're "doing pretty good".

[[folder:The 2014 Series]]
!!Season 1

* Any scene between Gus and his daughter.
* Molly and her father.
* Molly and Gus
* Greta and Lou
* A more darkly comedic moment when Starvos rather gruffly tells his henchman to tell his son Dimitri he loves him. The henchman simply says that he won't.
* Gus's neighbor standing up to Lorne Malvo to protect his community.
* Molly, weak from a bullet wound, feebly consoling Gus when he confesses that he shot her.
* In "The Heap", Molly gives Gus a call and they happily set their first date. And then the camera does an extended pan across a forest [[spoiler:to indicate a TimeSkip where the two are married and Molly is accepted as "mom" to Greta.]]
* Molly's and Ida's friendship. Poor Ida maintains her cheery demeanor long after her husband's death.
* Bill happily fostering a Sudanese refugee to help him get his life back together. For all his insufferable cluelessness throughout the series, Bill has a good heart.
** Any of the several times Bill shows what a standup guy he actually is counts.
* Gus, Greta, Molly, and Lou have breakfast together at Lou's diner. Greta begs Lou to take her fishing, and he tells her that she's the like the grandson he's always wanted. Bemidji still has at least one happy family.
** After Gus and Greta leave, Lou tells Molly she [[SoProudOfYou 'did good']], further driving home how the four [[spoiler: (soon to be five)]] of them are now [[spoiler: one big happy family.]] Considering how twisted this series is, it's positively '''adorable.'''
* For as ditzy and shallow Linda is, she exhibits her sweetness by inviting Molly into her home.
* [[spoiler: Gus, Greta, and Molly finish the season by watching TV on the couch, their arms draped around each other, in a direct shout-out to the original film's ending. After all the woe and misery in the series up to that point, the decent people finally come out ahead]].
* Lou sitting on the porch with a gun to protect Greta. Then Greta joins him and he tells her a little anecdote that hints that something is wrong. She promptly goes back in the house, grabs a gun, and joins her grandfather side-by-side. Lou even gives her an "attagirl."

!!Season 2:

* Floyd's ritual of hugging Otto's prone body while he sleeps.
* Most of the scenes with the Solversons, which in contrast with the chaos around them is always shown as loving and domestic, despite the tragedy in their family.
* Near the end of episode four, when the Gerhardts are riding back from their disastrous meeting with Kansas City, Dodd puts his head on Floyd's shoulder. She appears annoyed at first and brushes him off, but eventually she starts breaking down and touches his face. She may be a cold-hearted matriarch and he may be a violent, hot-headed gangster, but they're still mother and son.
* Peggy selling her car to make up for the money she took in order for Ed to be able to buy the butcher shop. However, given that the episode this occurs in is entitled [[spoiler: "The Gift of the Magi"]] it doesn't end up working out
* Charlie trying to call his father and to apologize [[spoiler:after deciding that a life of crime really isn't for him and that his father was right in trying to put him on a legitimate path.]]
* Bear suppressing his pride and his family's orders and walking away from siege-ing the police station, as he doesn't want to make Charlie's situation worse.
* The Blumquists slowly rebuilding their marriage throughout all their criminal activities, to the point where Peggy steadfastly defends Ed against any outside criticism. It stands firm as a marked difference between the earlier selfish Peggy who seemed to view Ed as an obstacle, and the more 'actualized' Peggy who refuses to leave Ed behind.
* Lou comforting Schmidt following the events of Sioux Falls as the latter starts crying over the chaos they've been through.
* A bittersweet example since [[ForegoneConclusion Betsy dies while Molly is still a child,]] but in the last episode of the season, she has [[DreamingOfThingsToCome a dream of the future,]] allowing her to see her daughter grow up, her grandchildren, and her husband's latter years while she's alive.
* The final shot of the season is Lou and Betsy simply cuddling in bed, saying goodnight to each other and falling asleep. Although Betsy will die in a few years, the family is happy and together for now.

!!Season 3:

* Ray pretends to mend fences with Emmit as a distraction for Nikki breaking into Emmit's house, but is surprised to find himself genuinely feeling good about having a cordial talk with his brother for once, and leaves hoping they really are on the road to resolving their long feud (unfortunately, Nikki already ruined any chance of it).
* As messed up as it is, the relationship of Ray Stussy and Nikki Swango in general is genuine, even endearing at times.
* The length Gloria goes to to find the truth behind her stepfather's death.
