** Less nightmare-fuel; in "Waltz of Evil," mothy stated in an interview that Banica and her servants became friends when they found her and cheered her up right after her mother's death.
** Banica's relationship with Carlos, before it got [[MurderSuicide worse]], was sweet to see in such a horrifying novel.
** And in "Drug of Gold", we get to see Carlos' view on [[spoiler:being eaten]]. It's as adorable as it is creepy.

* In the Sloth novel it was revealed that Clarith found and raised a child who was also from the Netsuma Clan... And she named him after [[DeadGuyJunior Ayn]].
** The Sloth novel talks more about the monastic order Clarith founded after the Story of Evil, the Sisters of Clarith. They're an order that, works to end discrimination and take care of orphans so no one else will have to suffer like Clarith and other Netsumas did, and they work hard to protect the New Millennium Tree, i.e. Michaela.
*** Clarith even wrote this discourse about the New Millennium Tree: "The Millennium Tree was something sacred for many people. That holy tree should protect all humanity, not only those of the Held sect. She is a God worthy of our reverence, our treasured friend, and our dearest lover." D'awww.

* In the Sloth novel is the scene between Hob and Heidemarie, when the former had come to save the latter and her sister from [[spoiler:being locked up for a murder she didn't commit.]] Despite all their issues with each other, seeing that Hob is on her side after all is one of the few things that has ever made Heide smile.
** There's a sweet moment between two minor characters; the anonymous coachman who carries the protagonists back and forth through the story is worried sick about his mother, who's one of the people quarantined in the Gift-ridden Toragay. When they check Blankenheim Manor and find a group of survivors huddled inside, his mother makes it through the crowd to greet them--he immediately runs to hug her and starts crying at her feet, saying how worried he'd been. She starts chastising him for [[MenDontCry being a grown man crying,]] but the whole time she [[SandInMyEyes tries to hold back tears too.]]
** In the Bonus story we learn a little bit more about Bruno Marlon's past, or rather [[spoiler:Caspar's real father, Kaidor, pretending to be Bruno.]] He may be an unrepentant criminal, but he really cares about [[spoiler:Caspar. He only stole Bruno's appearance and life to protect Caspar from others finding out they're related, and the only regret he has about leaving his old life behind is leaving his son behind with it.]] That's a lot of feeling from a hardened killer.

* Karchess once Yufina goes missing becomes much more dedicated to finding the missing women, even giving Elluka a WhatTheHellHero when she tries to have them wait to confront Venomania while she’s in danger.
** Also from the ''Lunacy'' novel, the fact that it was partially ThePowerOfFriendship that helped [[spoiler: Lukana break free of Venomania's mind control.]]
** We also see a little glimpse into [[spoiler:Cherubim, aka Duke Venomania's]] life when imprisoned in the basement. Even though it was a lonely and sad existence, you can tell from his entries that the nameless guard who watched over him actually cared about him and took care of him, and was happy when [[spoiler:Cherubim met and befriended his brother, Sateriasis.]] The boy says that even though he wanted to leave, it wasn't unbearable there because of the guard.
** In "The Portrait Glassred Drew", Gumina paints a portrait of Venomania's real face, saying that she always loved the real him, wishing that she could have conveyed that back then and that he accepted his real self. It's also heartwarming to know that [[spoiler:she heard Venomania's love confession before he died, or at least figured out that was what he was trying to say.]]

** Also from the ''Lunacy'' novel, the fact that it was partially ThePowerOfFriendship that helped [[spoiler: Lukana break free of Venomania’s mind control.]]

* From the "Seven Crimes and Punishment" story, Allen's interactions with Hansel and Gretel show that the two twins, despite being creepy as hell in Original Sin Story, aren't all that bad in the end:
** Gretel turns into Ney and tries to apologize to Allen for killing Michaela, [[EmotionallyTongueTied even if it's not in her nature to actually say it]], and asks him to give Riliane her regards.
** There's also Hansel intervening to save Allen not once, but twice in the story.
