* In Chapter 2, the backstory of Rebecca and Happy, specifically how they met is explored, with Rebecca giving Happy his name, and the two spending all their time together. Even though tragedy briefly strikes the two of them when Happy is hit by a truck, and he's afraid Rebecca won't want to be his friend anymore when he's revived as a machine, Rebecca still lovingly embraces him, assuring him that he's still her best friend, no matter what he looks like.

* It's revealed that after she lost her home, Ziggy raised and protected Elsie, and that Elsie first met Shiki when she was a baby (claiming she changed his diapers), making her Shiki's older sister for all intents and purposes. Those emotions haven't changed, and she remains [[BigSisterInstinct fiercely protective of him]], to the point she's willing to throw herself in front of Justice to protect him.

* Although it's mostly depressing coming immediately after Homura's heartwrenching discovery of Valkyrie's death, Homura's friends are brimming with empathy for her, and their reactions show that they want to make sure she will be able to heal: Rebecca and the others simply give her space to mourn, lightly admonishing the resistance fighters who are raring to recruit her to their cause, while Shiki honors Valkyrie for her heroism and gives Homura words of encouragement. More heartwarming is the fact that Shiki is completely respectful towards Homura's feelings the entire time, telling her it's only natural to feel like she can't pull through after suffering such a huge loss; he only draws the line when Homura declares she might ''never'' recover, because just like how his Granbell friends helped him cope with his grandpa's death, [[YouAreNotAlone Homura has her own friends to help pull her through this]].

* The aftermath of the Granbell bots' fake uprising shows just how deeply the friendship between Shiki and the bots runs. The bots cared so much for Shiki's well-being that they spent the entirety of their dwindling lifespans preparing to get him off-world, and only in a way to ensure he would never be lonely, even if it meant [[BreakHisHeartToSaveHim sacrificing that friendship]]. As for Shiki, even though he doesn't realize what was really happening, he still doesn't want to leave them behind despite all the pain they've caused him and Rebecca, and declares that they were all still his friends simply for being there his entire life.
* When Sibir threatens to tear off Pino's other leg for "running away" (or rather, getting stolen by Weisz), Weisz comes out of hiding to save her from further torment. And to steal her for himself again, sure, but it's clear [[WhatYouAreInTheDark from his reactions while no one is looking]] that underneath the scummy behavior his older self outgrew, there's a JerkWithAHeartOfGold.

* The reveal that after his failed attempt to find Mother, the Demon King entrusted his personal battleship, the ''[[VehicleTitle Edens Zero]]'' to Elsie Crimson with the hopes that she would pass it along to Shiki once he was ready to go out into space. And while she had her fun messing around with Shiki and his friends when they finally met, the depths of her regard for the Demon King are obvious as she kept her promise, holding onto the ship for years before delivering it to his "grandson".

* After being led to safety by Rebecca, the other B-cubers captured by Illega all encourage their viewers to check out her channel. Sure, most of the new viewers end up leaving bad reviews, but it's the thought that counts.
* Shiki picked long hair for his Digitalis avatar as the planet reminds him of Granbell. He still hopes everyone back at Granbell is back to normal.
