** A small but endearing detail: when Dexter tried visualizing himself as a triceratops, his narration and acting were based entirely on his encyclopedic knowledge. Even so, he does a stellar job and Dee Dee tells him he aced it. He could do it while still being Dexter, he didn't really need to renounce to his identity. [[TearJerker/DextersLaboratory It's too bad, really...]]

* Most of the episode "Snowdown" is about Dexter's dad teaching him how to snowball fight to defeat DeeDee who's pelting him with snowballs. When he finally does manage to score a hit on her, however, she sincerely congratulates him on it, earning a sincere thanks from Dexter. Despite Dad's melodrama, Dee Dee ultimately just wanted to play in the snow with her brother, and Dexter was fine with that once he figured out how.

Dee Dee realizes her little brother is “really hung up on this”, apologizes and wordlessly offers him a hug which he actually accepts.

* In "Hamhocks and Armlocks", when Dad runs afoul of a nasty truck driver Earl(he accidentally broke his undefeated record in arm wrestling by distracting him), Earl first demands he arm wrestle him so he can take revenge. When Dad refuses, Earl smashes the car to provoke him. Dad refuses, even telling Dexter violence is not the answer. However, when Earl slams the restaurant door in Mom's face, Dad gets furious, entering and saying he can treat HIM(Dad)the way he wants, but never NOT hold a door open for a lady, especially his wife. He immediately challenges Earl, ready to put the hurt on him.

** Dexter gets one in this episode too. Earl is a giant whose face is never seen on screen, while Dad is tiny in comparison. Using items from the nearby area, Dexter makes a cybernetic arm for Dad, all so he won't be hurt.

**The aliens end up giving her back because of the destruction she causes, but the episode ends with her repeatedly touching buttons on Dexter's ship and Dexter sighing in contentment to have her with him as they wobbily make their way back to Earth.

* In the episode "Dee Dee's Rival" you can see the difference in the way Dee Dee and Olga (Mandark's sister) interact with their brothers. Both of them want something from their brothers, but Olga threatens Mandark (he begs her not to hurt him) and at the end of their conversation, flicks his nose in a way that looks painful. Dee Dee, on the other hand, pleads with Dexter and when he agrees, kisses him on the nose making him smile.

** Another example from the comics, (specifically, the Cartoon Network crossover ones.) Dexter accidentally turns himself into a cat. Dee Dee is absolutely ''thrilled'' to find a cat to play with, but Dexter eventually turns himself back into a human. Dee Dee, having no idea what happened to her new "pet," is in tears, convinced that the cat ran away. Dexter, feeling genuinely sorry for his sister, makes her a robotic pet cat to play with, and the comic ends with both of them happy.

* In its own weird way, Dee Dee dyeing Dexter's hair blonde in "The Blonde Leading the Blonde" as well as Dexter thanking Dee Dee for her actions. While Dee Dee mainly did it to prove the belief that blondes have more fun, it's nice that she chose to proof the theory in a way that allowed her brother to have a nice day and that Dexter was grateful for his sister's selfless decision.
