** Of course he didn't hate her. Were we even watching the same episode? It's just that he's SONIC. He's just not the type of person who knows how to deal with emotional situations and grief. Some people just don't handle grief by being openly tactile and apologetic. He didn't hug Tails back because he was basically didn't know what to do and it might seem obvious to us that the answer is "hug the damn guy" that doesn't mean it's obvious to Sonic. He clearly WAS sad and sorry you could see it in his face.

* One thing that bugs me about the last episode is why earth didn't Sonic try to comfort Tails, god Tails just lost the love of his life, did Sonic hate her or something

* Why in the love of F*** didn't Sonic try and comfort Tails when Cosmo died, isn't that kinda like saying i hate your girlfriend.

* Being a major Tails fan from back in the day (we're talking from first inception onward, when ThisTroper was only 2), it bugged me heavily that Tails would fall into a romantic relationship with a plant. I mean, yeah, Cosmo was an alright character, but...seriously?
** Meh. I don't think it matters. When you get down to it, he was eight years old, so a romantic relationship of any kind was pretty unimportant. I think he just... loved her. Maybe romantically I guess, but when they're that young it's pretty obscure.
** I was also a Tails fan since 1992, and while I didn't like the pairing at first, the more episodes I watched the more I accepted it. The kid was just growing up. Though after how it ended in tragedy he's going to have some lifetime emotional baggage, sadly.
** Well, this troper never accepted it. To her, Cosmo just gave off a RelationshipSue vibe, as if she was only put in to be Tails's girlfriend. She hardly even helped the heroes until the very end, when she suddenly developed incredible powers out of nowhere and got all shiny and stuff, then died heroically to save the lives of everyone, leaving them all to grieve the wonderful, wonderful Cosmo. (Sorry, but in case you can't tell, this troper is just bugged by Cosmo in general.)
** And if she'd actually done anything useful she'd probably have been called out for interferring with the dynamic and being a Sue anyway. Frankly being who and what she was in a series like this, Cosmo was never going to be able to win no matter what kind of character she was.
** Really, the whole thing between Tails and Cosmo is just an anthro version of Boy Meets Ghoul. Boy meets cute alien girl, boy and cute alien girl fall in love. In this case, the alien just happens to be plant based. It's a little squiky that the two are only 8, but age never seems to matter in anime.
*** This is the troper from 2 posts ago talking again (you know, the one who DOESN'T adore Cosmo, XD). Anyway, it's not really the age thing that bugs me, or the plant and animal thing. It's just her Sue-like presence in general. Of course, YourMileageMayVary.
*** I gathered that. My post was mostly in reference to the original question on the squickiness of the romance itself and my own feelings on the subject. Whether Cosmo (or any character, really) is a Sue is typically flame-bait that this troper prefers to stay far, far away from.
* I kinda wish we'd seen more of the Metarex, and what they looked like under the mecha suits. Yeah, we saw Zelkova and FanNickname Leader Dude, but what about the rest? Also, we could have had a nice example of WellIntentionedExtremist. Also also, is it true that Leader Dude is possibly Cosmo's father?
** More than possible, it's extremely likely though I don't know if the characters ever found that out for sure. What with his connection to her mother and all. Narcissus outright calls her Dark Oak's daughter on one occasion.
*** Maybe we didn't see what they looked like more because it could've led to a giveaway of the LukeIAmYourFather plot they had going...
* What did Sonic say to Amy in episode 52? And why couldn't we hear him?
** Judging by the context, Amy's reaction, and the common romantic symbolism attached to roses (hell, the violet rose he used? Associated with LoveAtFirstSight), probably "I love you." Muting it was mostly for dramatic effect.
** Apparently, in the Japanese version Amy does explain what he said to her in episode 69, something along the lines of "There, Amy. I missed you a lot."

* What was Eggman's infamous "It's one thing to take them prisoner and threaten them but when you actually hurt somebody, that's going too far" line in the original Japanese?
** "Is this how we're going to settle things? You aren't the only one who uses hostages to settle things. But what you did... you've gone too far!"
* The general plot. Why exactly aren't the gang from Earth? I know it's for a "Kids, what would it be like if YOU met Sonic?!" type thing but couldn't they have made it something along the lines of Chris meeting Sonic, who he has probably heard of but never met, and Sonic sticking around for some reason type thing?
** They probably wanted to do an alternative reality with it, but at the same time keeping in with the American belief that Sonic's world was called Mobius and not Earth like it was established in the games. It's either a good or a bad thing considerating how you look at it, but I'm fairly certain that SonicX is its own continuity, SonicTheHedgehog games its own, SonicTheComic... you get the point. I think it was merely to differentiate between them and not using the same story or characters the same way as games/cartoons/anime/comics did. SonicX did use some of the game's plots, but they weren't exactly 100% similar to the source material either.
* The Chris bashing bugs me a lot. Okay, disliking him is one thing, but taking your dislike to such obnoxious, whiny and venomous levels is more annoying than Chris himself ever was.
** Because the internet is full of toxic, socially stunted people.
*** Bit of a generalisation that, really, but it's assumption is GIFT entirely possible. I always felt that how I respond to characters like Chris is a reflection on how I respond to real people on the internet. If I can have patience with, or even sympathy for, a fictional character who grinds on my nerves a bit, then I can be patient with the few trolls and idiots who are toxic and socially stunted. Honestly, I can't help but find the various ways people have come up with to hideously mutilate and kill a (fictional) twelve year old kid... a little disturbing, but then YourMileageMayVary.
*** Before I even saw SonicX, I heard a lot of bad things about Chris. I expected to hate him myself. Then I finally watched it... and I didn't feel anything toward him. Sure, he makes stupid mistakes, but he's twelve years old. I didn't really expect a young kid like that to make good decisions at all, but that's just me.
*** I guess those are the types of reactions you get for making a SonicTheHedgehog series that ends up getting accused for being a HumanFocusedAdaptation, especially since I came across a few rants expressing hatred toward the entire series in general besides just the supposedly Macekre Macekred 4kids dub.

*** Which makes even less sense since several months had supposedly passed by the time Sonic had made his way to back to their world (which was all of a day after his friends had teleported back), unless his journey really took that amount of time rather than due to space and time complications. Earth supposedly has the slower time continum in the first season finale, then is suddenly several times faster than Sonic's world the start of the second season.
