* It seems inconsistent. Mordin talks about a fertility rate of 1 in 1000, but he seems to refer to krogan children that are NOT stillborn. Even EVE, a fertile female, talks about her first stillborn being heartbreaking in ME3. But then, what is the difference between a ''fertile female'' and a ''non-fertile'' one? In this context, it seems like there are two possible (conflicting) perceptions and I'm not sure if it's intended in-universe or not. A portion of people seems to think that ''fertile females'' are females that successfully produce 1000 healthy babies, but that doesn't gel with the 1/1000 statistic that keeps being brought up. Are some krogan just misunderstanding what the genophage is, is it a writing inconsistency, or is something else muddying the waters? EVE is special because she's immune to the genophage (to an extent, since she still produced stillborns, before the mutation perhaps?) but every female would seem to have the same chance as any other, labeled ''fertile'' or otherwise.

** Flattering, not really. VERY form fitting though, to the point that the female version seems to squeeze down or compress the chest area. Light armor sometime seems to be something out of ''WesternAnimation/TotallySpies'' or ''Franchise/MetalGear''. Said form fitting armors can be justified by the fact that they double as space suit. Such a design should allow for minimum movements hindrance while protecting the body from depressurisation. If I remember well, such a design is actually worked on by NASA.

* Okay, so the in-universe translator is really effective, and that's all well and good. My confusion is why all the aliens are lip-synced perfectly with English even though they're technically speaking their own tongues. Unless they ''all'' know English as a secondary language (e.g., [[StarWars Galactic Basic]]), [[FridgeBrilliance which I suppose wouldn't be unthinkable in ~some~ sense, given that humans are learning alien languages as well]].

** It's pretty clear that the Council is suffering from a favoritism problem, so of course that they would assign C-Sec to investigate just to shut them up while not actually giving them access to any real leads. This was simply an attempt at appeasement: ,,Oh well, we gave you your shot. Not our fault you weren't able to do it."

** The one in a thousand simply means that that one will be allowed to grow naturally, it's still got to deal with every other potential complication. Plus things like statistics aren't exact, it's not literally one out of every thousand thereby guaranteeing a single living birth per clutch, just that there's a one in a thousand chance that each birth will be viable. This means there will be females who won't produce a single living child despite years of trying, and females who will produce multiple living children in a clutch. Naturally the krogan don't understand how the genophage works so they assume the ones that haven't produced a living child are generally infertile while the ones that have are. It's yet anouther example of how the genophage doesn't really work how the salarians wanted it to work. The math all checks out but the reality tells a more brutal and heartbreaking story.

** Some words just don't have a direct translation between languages - they can be defined in other languages, but there's no word that means the same thing. This is extremely common, and most if not all real languages have loanwords in part because of that. It seems like whoever created the translators just went a similar route.

Or one was a mistake. Regardless, they do tell al-Jilani that the Turians lost twenty cruisers and the Alliance lost eight in ME2 interview.

** AI research and creation is illegal because of the ethical quandary it poses. As an organic, you can only create life via biological processes involving your own body and other organic life forms. Synthetic life on the other hand is created from first principles i.e. from basic elements and compounds. In creating them, you are essentially "playing God". Now that this life form exists, what governs its relationship with you? As a life form, are you supposed to set it free and allow it to live and evolve as it pleases? Or do you take responsibility even ownership of it? The parent offspring relationship codifies how organics deal with newly created organic life, but would that same thing even apply to synthetics? Where does the boundary lie between teacher/mentor and enslaver? The council would rather just ban it and KillEmAll rather than tackle this vexing issue.

Uncanny Valley is IUEO now and the subjective version has been split; cleaning up misuse and ZCE in the process

* something has been bugging the hell out of me. Every time you talk to an NPC, they all have this eccentric habit of their body language being scripted and wooden to a fault. Like they all do this thing when the conversation is over where they move their eyes to the right, turn their head, and awkwardly walk away, EVERY time. As great as the writing and dialogue is, it really puts them in {{uncanny valley}}. This is the most whiny complaint I have ever indulged in but I just keep noticing it.

** Considering the aforementioned gunnery chief's example (math alert): we have a 20 kg projective being accelerated at 0.01 c each second. Let’s assume the main gun runs the full length of a dreadnought, say 1000 m. The acceleration comes to 3e6 m/s^2. At that rate, the projectile, regardless of mass, will travel the length of the gun in just over 0.025 s after which point, no more acceleration. The projectile, assuming it starts from rest relative to the dreadnought, is now moving at about 77500 m/s with a kinetic energy of 60 GJ. That is the max amount of energy that could be transferred to the target, and this presumes the projectile magically maintains its speed when its mass returns to normal. Turns out the [[WritersCannotDoMath writers' math isn't even correct.]] The gunnery chief states that the projectile impacts with the explosive yield of a 38 KT bomb...38 KT is about 160 TJ. Remember, 1 TJ = 1000 GJ. If anyone wants to double check my numbers, I used the relativistic model for kinetic energy...never mind, the difference between the Newtonian and relativistic models is negligible at this speed, although if anyone is interested, the relativistic model can be found on Wiki/TheOtherWiki [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kinetic_energy#Relativistic_kinetic_energy_of_rigid_bodies here]].
