A Date With Rosie Palms is no longer a trope

* Just how could ADateWithRosiePalms [[{{Squick}} be one of them?]] And yes, I know it's a Creator/Suda51 game, but what's up with all the guys with their comments solely based on masturbation or banging women?
** Do you mean how could Nick's hobbies include masturbation if he's only a talking head? (In which case, the hobbies were listed for before he got beheaded) Or do you mean how could ADateWithRosiePalms be a hobbie at all? (In which case...well, it's not unhealthy in and of itself and it's obviously recreational...)

** Mainly just how on earth can ADateWithRosiePalms be a hobbie at all?
*** [[RuleOfFunny It's just a joke.]] No reason to read anything deep into it. And Nick's at the age where most guys date Rosie Palms on a regular basis, smoking hot girlfriend or not.
*** At his age? I don't seem to understand.
*** ''''''''HE'S 18.'''''''' 18-year-olds do this all the time.
*** He's in high school. Highschoolers masturbate a lot. And the students having wacky comments when you rescue them is more of a case of WeirdnessCensor and RuleOfFunny[=/=]TakeThat, classic Suda 51 (see: VideoGame/NoMoreHeroes)
** Just recite [[MST3KMantra "The Mantra"]] and keep walking.

*** Heck, taking the reasoning even further, perhaps the reason you Need a zombie hunter is because they need to be taken down in a fight. In spite of being dead, and some showing an affinity for pain, all of them experience an Avoidance of said pain and are even afraid of being killed in the end. Perhaps these traits are brought on by their ritual purpose. They have to Resist their death to ensure they don't just immediately submit to sacrifice by their summoner

** Keep in mind that the zombie thing isn't entirely viral. As is a common theme in the game, a good deal of magic is involved. We have no good way of judging just how fast or not this could spread in a healthy person who was bitten, arm or not. If anything, Juliet might have panicked a bit and jumped the gun in sawing off his head instead of just his arm. But then Nick mentions that he already feels the zombification happening as it spreads, and he was already acting pretty weak and sickly mere moments after the bite. So we really don't have a great deal of knowledge in just how much more time he would have had before zombifying regardless.

** Juliet also mentions that it's the "zombie venom" getting to Nick's brain that would've done him in. If he was already acting weak moments after the bite it probably means it was spreading Fast. So Juliet takes the emergency route and removes his head from his body to ensure his brain is unaffected.

Added DiffLines:

** Juliet mentions killing another zombie as an ''infant'' using only a rattle. It could be that there have been more, smaller zombie incidents throughout the world. It's just that huge apocalyptic proportions levels of zombies like what occurs in San Romero due to Swan's ritual isn't the norm for them to deal with. Owing to the fact that there Are professional zombie hunters around to eliminate them and keep their numbers down if they crop up.
** Besides this, Juliet mentions killing other supernatural creatures to Nick when asked. Frankenberries (yes, the cereal kind) and leprechauns. Zombie Hunter may simply be the most commonplace term for what Juliet's family does, which is killing evil supernatural creatures.

** Also worth noting when Morikawa tells her how to defeat Killabilly, he's already dead and has been watching the proceedings from the afterlife. Either he didn't know the exact outcome of the ritual beforehand, and only learned afterwards and couldn't tell Juliet about it before Killabilly was summoned, or he had hoped Juliet could stop Swan by either disarming or killing him before he could pull the trigger on himself.

Added DiffLines:

** It could be that there's a requirement for it to be a zombie hunter Specifically to complete the ritual. Technically it just calls for "a pawn". But given the difficulty Juliet, a trained zombie hunter, faces while trying to take them all down, it's acceptable to consider the only person who feasibly could have would be a zombie hunter. Swan is seen following Juliet around before everything began. He could have learned her secret and formulated his plan around it, knowing he could potentially take her down for good using something he knows she couldn't resist: zombie killing.

* I mean seriously. Nick is got bit on the arm. There shouldn't really be any reason to take off everything up to his neck. Surely the zombie virus can't spread fast enough to take over his entire body neck down in a matter of minutes.

* The Starlings are said to be a family of professional zombie hunters. ** You really haven't been paying attention to the characters AT ALL. The Starling Family is used to that kind of stuff. Also, they're more focus that Nick and Gideon are alive.

** It does work!! The Dark Purveyors (except Mariska) are clearly not happy about getting chopped apart the first time and deal with it by putting on a brave face and spouting a bit of macho crap like "You think that hurts! I just jizzed a little". Every time they get hacked up, they fight more desperately and they only withstand the chainsaw the first time because they're so powerful - after that they know they're in shit creek.

** As for why are all dudes filthy shameless pigs? At a guess, everyone working on this game had really really low expectations of their consumers, meaning the player was probably intended to identify with all the losers Juliet rescues. Alternatively, it's a statement on what kind of people Suda51 ''fears'' his consumers will become, and in which case acts as a warning to all those horn-dogs? Can never be too sure. If the latter, it's done badly.
*** DoubleStandard. For all the people talking about LollipopChainsaw being a satire, it plays the AllMenArePerverts card ''ridiculously'' straight and yet people still think the abuse of Nick can count as a satire? It comes across as Suda 51 having an insultingly low opinion of men lifted right out of a sitcom.
**** It plays AllMenArePerverts ''ridiculously'' straight because ''that's the joke''. That's precisely what it's a satire of. Lollipop Chainsaw is parodying the concept of the supersexy fanservice girl whose purpose in the story is to be sexy and bubbly and give you panty flashes. The males Juliet encounters whose emotional capacity ranges from "You're so sexy" to "I want to touch you" are openly saying ThisLoserIsYou to the type of audience they're satirizing: any male that came into this game just to see a teenage girl in a sexy cheerleader costume bounce around and give panty flashes to the camera. If you felt offended that the game called you a pervert, congratulations: you're the punchline.

* What's with Juliet always trying to chainsaw the Dark Purveyors in half? After it didn't work on Zed the first time, why didn't she move onto a different strategy? It didn't work with Vikke like twice before she got it right. Mariska kept splitting ''herself'' in half... seriously, why doesn't she ever think to try something else?

** Maybe he thought, or hoped, Swan wouldn't go through the whole thing. Living or unliving, it's not easy for a lot of people to be so ready to put a gun to their own head.
