* Is there anything funny about Cheat Commandos? All the episodes seem to be a continuous train ride of Main/TakeThat against GI Joes and other 80's/90's cartoons.
** I don't know, I think they're hilarious. Especially Reynold. Plus Pony Fights 2!
** For this troper, "The Next Epi-Snowed" fell extremely flat, but "Commandos in the Classroom" is one of his all-time favourites.
*** Same here. Really, Crack Stuntman killed it for me in the former.
** To be honest, I think that's the point.
** They might have started out that way, but I think that like some of the other in-universe ideas (''Dangeresque'', ''Teen Girl Squad''), they've become more fleshed out. Gunhaver is funny in his own right, and I count the bit about Blue Laser Commander's Nana in the Thanksgiving special as one of the funniest scenes in the entire H*R canon.
*** No kidding. The point of the cartoon is to let the Chapmans get revenge of G I Joe, whislt making it as funny as possible. Considering that the aforementioned cartoon was not very funny, the humor is that the cartoons are surreal, stupid exaggerations of G I Joes. They often forget to put humor in. Though that "UNDERSTANDABLE" line at the end of Let's Give TANKS really justifies it.
** I died laughing when the kid said "I've been known to swear up a cuss! DIAPER BISCUITS!" :(

** I personally hold the belief that his boxing gloves have invisible telekinetic fingers in much the same way that Homestar has invisible telekinetic arms. (There was one episode where he put on a trenchcoat, and the sleeves moved normally.) The telekinetic fingers theory is supported by how hard it became to type with those fingers he applied to his gloves in that one e-mail; they interfered with the ability. (No, I don't think the Brothers Chaps had this in mind, I just think it explains it.)

* Okay, so I found out a while ago that the reason for the 2010 update hiatus for this site was a new child in the Chapman family. That's an entirely reasonable thing to place as top priority over updating a website, no question. Even though they haven't updated the main site for a while, they kept updating the store in the early months of 2010, and even plastered random out-of-the-blue advertisements for the store on the splash page and SB Emails menu (thankfully, they're gone by now). Updating the basic webpage that is the store is obviously way easier than animating a whole new Flash cartoon, and I'd imagine there could be a need for increased income with a new child about (hence the ads). Here's what bugs me, though: The Brothers Chaps didn't even bother with ''informing site visitors'' of the fact that a new child was the reason for their lack of previously-regular updates, instead [[WallBanger choosing to tell '''ONLY''' the small percentage of their fans who subscribe to their RSS feed.]] This, combined with the lack of site updates and sudden addition of random advertisements for their store, gives the impression to regular visitors not subscribed to this feed (the fact that many people (myself included, until recently) ''don't even know that this feed exists'' only compounds the lack of logic in their decision to announce through it and it alone) that the Brothers Chaps have [[TheyJustDidntCare abandoned their entertainment element]] in favor of [[MoneyDearBoy milking their previous successes for all they're worth]]. Obviously this isn't the real case ... but the circumstances certainly don't make that obvious without additional research. Why didn't they just announce through the main page as they have in the past? Why leave so many of their regular site visitors in the dark?

**100% agreed. Strong Bad's schtick was exhausted YEARS ago: there's a line where cynical, narcissistic ignorance stops being funny and just gets repetitive, and Strong Bad crossed it somewhere in 2008. Hremails were fun because Homestar isn't so much intentionally malicious, he's just a well-meaning dope. It's a minor change, maybe, but it really helped the new series seem fresh.

** Not really. [[spoiler: He did mourn over the compy's death in the final Compy episode, and was worried over the lappy's safety in Cliffhangers]]. But than again, it's not really continuity based show. Besides, the creators probably felt that it was time for a new computer. SoYeah

** Definately. The fanbase would have cooled off eventually, and I liked seeing someone other than Strong Bad in the title role for a change of pace. But Sbemails are still fun, so I'm not gonna complain too much.
