** It's the other way around. The other demons had their battle sprites made first, then had their detailed out-of-battle sprites made based on those. The one you never fight had no detailed character design, so he has a poorly-detailed out-of-battle sprite.

** My guess? He's a BadassGrandpa whose in good shape, and has aged well. The "Old" effect doesn't change his age so much as is changes him to a version of himself where he DIDN'T age well.

** Not really. Her spell just grabs the image of a loved one from the target, she's not actively reading their minds, they don't need to consciously remember just as long as there's someone in there somewhere for the spell to mimic. Magic doesn't have to follow logical processes it can simply have an effect.

* One thing that always bugged me is the Siren battle at the beginning. With his amnesia, how did Galuf pull 'Krile' out of nowhere? Faris being affected by 'King Tycoon' isn't much better. Siren got away with some bullcrap there.

** Because that would have required the sprite-makers to know what the demon was supposed to look like.

*** No, the OTHER time Lenna nearly poisoned herself to death to save a Wind Drake. At Bal Castle, after the whole bit with the Big Bridge and saving that Moogle and such.

*** More seriously, given the compact nature of the sprites in the original version, it's possible they just couldn't get something that looked like a centaur that wasn't a complete mess. Had the game been made with Final Fantasy 6's engine (or at least graphical capabilities), we might've seen the quadrupedal Exdeath after all.

*** While engaging in the physical exertion fighting and/or fleeing from monsters, no less.

** Several NPC's talk about how, thanks to the wind stopping, sea travel (including shipping) has come to a standstill. This would suggest that Tycoon has been using the Wind Crystal to guarantee that ships have favorable winds for travel and trade.

* If using the crystals to power a machine cause them to shatter (at least faster), then how was it that the wind crystal, which was not used to power a machine, shattered before the others, which were at some point?

** What? She doesn't eat any she got stabbed by the thorns of the purple flowers which are poison, the dragon grass just grows nearby, and she never ate it. Nor did she offer any explanations as she needed none as it never happened...

* How did Bartz leave his hometown in the first place? It's completely surrounded by mountains, with no caves, passes, or trails.

* So... what's with the meteors, anyway? Who found / invented them and decided they were the best way to get from world B to world A?

A? When you reach Galuf's world, there's no hint that they ever existed there, and no indications of any place where they could have been stored, launched from, or controlled, so what gives?
