* Wait...in the eighth book, we learn that the Fairy Realms are full of magic experts. So then why didn't the Farimentals have one of them find and train the new mages, instead of sending Ozzie, who is mostly useless and knows little about magic? And with the mages being so integral to saving the magic web, why didn't the Fairy Realms take interest in them before book eight?
** And why did the Farimentals let these three girls become the potential saviors of magic? They're GenreBlind and toss around the IdiotBall, they let their petty bickering interfere with their quest, and they don't learn from their experiences or mistakes, which culminates in [[spoiler:Emily turning evil BecauseDestinySaysSo, and ultimately failing in their quest...at first]]. Couldn't the Farimentals have found smarter and more mature teenagers, or even some adults who could accept the idea of magic?

So then why didn't the Farimentals Fairimentals have one of them find and train the new mages, instead of sending Ozzie, who is mostly useless and knows little about magic? And with the mages being so integral to saving the magic web, why didn't the Fairy Realms take interest in them before book eight?
** Firstly: Perhaps the magic experts are too busy stabilizing/protecting their own world to visit another? And why secondly: the Realms are having a lot of political issues. In book 8, we see that the distrust between fairies, dwarves, and goblins has almost led them to full-on war. They can barely agree to give Kara time for her quest, and even that is given begrudgingly. They're so focused on protecting their own races that they don't see the bigger threat endangering all life.
* Why
did the Farimentals Fairimentals let these three girls become the potential saviors of magic? They're GenreBlind and toss around the IdiotBall, they let their petty bickering interfere with their quest, and they don't learn from their experiences or mistakes, which culminates in [[spoiler:Emily turning evil BecauseDestinySaysSo, and ultimately failing in their quest...at first]]. Couldn't the Farimentals Fairimentals have found smarter and more mature teenagers, or even some adults who could accept the idea of magic?magic?
** In book 3, the Fairimentals explain that humans with the potential to become Level 3 mages are rare. And it's constantly said that the worlds don't have much time before the BigBad[=s=] kill everything. Presumably the Farimentals just latched onto the first available 'candidates' that they found.
