** While Kindaichi and Miyuki watch a not-scary show, Hajime decides to cop a moment of hand-holding with Miyuki. Unfortunately, his attempt at stealth is met with failure as the result of accidentally holding hands with a female stranger and, worse still, said stranger has a boyfriend, who's understandably not happy with him, prompting to grab Miyuki's hand and flee the scene with her.

** After making out of the first DeadlyGame alive, the game programmer, who's among the surviving participants, talks about the questions being raised in the game as "too easy" and offhandedly quips that only idiots wouldn't have been able to answer the first one, which was a question about Japanese history. Kindaichi, remembering that he, as a BrilliantButLazy ApatheticStudent, couldn't answer it, is not happy but decides against protesting the game programmer's remark to avoid incriminating himself as a fool.

* Game House Murder Case:
** The case starts in an amusement park where Kindaichi, Miyuki, and four others go to have fun, but Kindaichi keeps going to absurdly blatant lengths for an excuse to cling onto Miyuki (first with roller-coaster rides, and then with haunted-house tours), until Miyuki gets fed up and punches him in the cheeks out of sheer irritation.

** When Kindaichi, his next-door neighbor, and Marin step inside the high-rise building where the party is set to take place, their conversation focuses on the identification procedures and security measures that take place within the building until they reach the hallways connecting individual apartment rooms, where there are no surveillance devices for sake of residents' privacy.
