* While it's an extremely dark scene overall, there's something amusing about ''waffle irons'' being the must have item that Black Friday shoppers turn into a vicious, screeching mob over.
** One of those leading the charge for the precious waffle irons is a stereotypical teenage jock who beams with pride at successfully getting the crowd to storm the building.
** One man is so determined to get one that he prioritizes it over the fact that he's bleeding out from a neck wound. He even clutches to as he dies... at which point another person takes it, not phased at all by his death.

Just because ''Film/Thanksgiving2023'' is DarkerAndEdgier than the fake trailer, that doesn't mean that it completely forgoes the laughs.

Creator/EliRoth certainly is a master at the craft of [[CrossesTheLineTwice turning distressing scenes into pure comedy]], although he and the producers also dip their feet into other forms of bringing out laughter from the viewer. With all of the [[NightmareFuel/Thanksgiving2023 terrifying moments]], trust us, these hilarious scenes would make for good seconds.

* After killing Manny, the Carver proves himself to not be a total monster by taking the time to feed Manny's pet cat and even gives it some head pats before leaving.
** The build up to it features Carver easily killing Manny and is ready to leave with his severed head, only to hear the cat meowing and looking right at it just watching him on a counter. Almost like he legit forgot the animal was there in the midst of violently killing his target.
