** This was stated openly in the comic, where she attacks them in their dreams and the girls realize quickly what's happening and that if it goes on longer they'll be too weak to fight. Hence them bringing the fight to her.

* It seems incredibly weird that NarniaTime and ComicBookTime is in such effect - especially with the amount of WakeUpGoToSchoolSaveTheWorld in the second arc. Exactly why would Nerissa take so long to try and attack the girls? Actually, when she attempts to kill the girls in their dreams, she has every reason to play the long game with them. She's ''intentionally'' wearing the girls down mentally with nightmares so that they'll be easier pickings for her. That's not a bad idea at all.

* In the comic the 'elemental' power of the Keeper originates from bonds, and manifests as energy blasts. It doesn't seem dangerous... Until you bring this notion to the logical extreme: the Keeper of the Heart has ''absolute power over the bonds of matter and energy''. With enough control she could produce a lot of gold out of thin air, disrupting world economy, produce weapon-grade uranium out of anything, make things explode, or make ''anything'' disappear! Thankfully Will doesn't seem inclined, even if she has realized it during the New Power arc... But Nerissa not only ''was'' inclined, she already ''did it to Cassidy''! All of sudden the utter terror everyone in Kandrakar had of her and the notion that its walls would be useless against Nerissa when they did hold back Will and her group make an horrible sense...

*** Seems it could be due to how irresponsible he can act. Letting Will drop whatever she's busy with to have fun instead does not sound like something Susan would approve of, they might've divorced over his reckless behavior and her borderline ControlFreak tendencies. Will also openly expressed many times she didn't want a birthday party until she ended up enjoying herself at Irma's house, Susan may have told Tony not to send a card to avoid bumming her out even more.

* In the comics it's implied Nerissa was "destined" to be corrupted BY the Heart of Kandrakhar. Will worries that she herself may become corrupted several times. If [[BecauseDestinySaysSo destiny says so]], then who's to say she won't be?

** Interestingly, that would explain why the show version of Caleb and Cornelia have a stronger relationship than their original comic versions. Caleb spends more time on Earth and around the real Cornelia (in the physical and WartsAndAll sense) so they have to work out things like a real couple would, especially in season two during their make-it-or-break moment.

Some polite polishing.

** It's true that Air is less solid than Water and Earth and not as energetic/flashy as Fire and Energy, but it can be even more devastating in real life (hurricanes, tornadoes, even high winds can destroy buildings). Phobos didn't think that through and most people wouldn't, plus it shows that Phobos still underestimates his opponent when he ''thinks'' he has the advantage, nicely setting up [[spoiler: how Will tricks him during the last part of season two]]. A good comparison is how Airbending in ''WesternAnimation/AvatarTheLastAirbender'' and ''WesternAnimation/TheLegendOfKorra'' is shown to be extremely destructive when not wielded by the pacifistic Air Nomads, especially in season 3 of LOK, imagine how easily Hay Lin could have [[spoiler: pulled the air out of Phobos' lungs]] like [[spoiler: Xaheer]] did? * Why didn't Cornelia object to Will being Elyon' s regent in "Q is for Quarry"? I was expecting her to say she was best suited because she was Elyon' s best friend. But, she made no remark or sarcastic expression at all. Why? Because she remembered her temporary power upgrade in "N is for Narcissist". She didn't say anything because she knew that it would probably sound hypocritical. And she was also hoping that Will might've also remembered the incident.

* There are a lot of ways W.I.T.C.H. is like their C.H.Y.K.N. counterparts and how the two groups act like foils to each other. Like Nerissa, Will can be extremely possessive, which causes her her to cheat at the swim meet when she she feels Mandy is threatening her relationship with Matt. And like Nerissa, Will can be quite the manipulator. But unlike Nerissa, as is pointed out further up on this page, Will enlists her friends' help. Nerissa broke her team up while Will keeps hers together. As for the Water Guardians, we don't see too much of Cassidy's personality but it's implied she's playful and sarcastic like Irma. These two represent the opposite sides of water; Cassidy represents the peaceful side, as she states she doesn't hold a grudge against Nerissa and just wants to rest in peace. Irma represents water's more turbulent side, as she's always clashing with and sometimes poking fun at Cornelia and calling her Corny even though the other girl clearly doesn't like it. For the Fire Guardians, Taranee has quite a rebellious streak, going so far as to temporarily quit the team. Halinor also has a rebellious streak, as she (and Kadma) voices her displeasure at the Oracle's decision and essentially rebels against him. However,while Taranee rejoins the team Halinor doesn't,and with Kadma( in the comic) she breaks off contact with Yan Lin. For the Earth Guardians, both of them are really stubborn and prideful. They also tend to push people away when they're upset in the comics, as we see when Caleb gets turned into a flower and Cornelia refuses to talk to her friends or let them comfort her. However, once he is turned back Cornelia gladly rejoins the team. Kadma, on the other hand, breaks off contact with Yan Lin and when Will and Taranee come to her for information,refuses to help them more than necessary and doesn't want anything more to do with Kandrakar. As for the Lins, both of them are the most positive members of their groups,with Hay Lin always being cheerful and with Yan Lin not letting the past make her a bitter old woman like Kadma.

* Cornelia and Caleb's romance seems like an outright {{Deconstruction}} of the typical love stories found in Disney movies. They fall in love with one another in their dreams, and right after meeting each other they're already head over heels for one another. It's only after Caleb gets to see the true, fourteen year old Cornelia that he starts to have doubts, and the relationship falls apart. Seems like a commentary against other couples that get together just based on looks alone, and never question their love.

Cornelia and Will are both a year older than the other girls, that's why they are in a different class (with Matt and Elyon) and Will comments in season 2 that Taranee can do her math work despite not being in the 8th grade like Will is.

* In ''J is for Jewel'', Trill shows Elyon "memories" of her parents Weira and Zaden. However, in these memories, Weira has blonde hair instead of the red she has both in the comics and in the flashback from The Stone of Threbe. This could be considered an error, until you realise Trill is Nerissa and, as such, has never actually met Queen Weira. She gave her blonde hair in the falsely constructed memory because she assumed she was blonde from Phobos and Elyon's hair colour.

* On the Guardian outfits:
** The original Guardian outfits of both W.I.T.C.H. and C.H.Y.K.N. are [[CustomUniformOfSexy sexy]] and [[BareYourMidriff show the midriff]], while the outfits of the ancient human generation of Guardians (only shown in a flashback]] are feminine ''[[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hanfu hanfu]]''. Both W.I.T.C.H. and C.H.Y.K.N. are American teenagers of the 20th century (late 20th for W.I.T.C.H., mid 20th for C.H.Y.K.N.), they'd want something sexy and somewhat rebellious, while the ancient human generation were Chinese teens or women of thousands of years ago, and dressed as such.
** By the time of the New Power saga the outfits of W.I.T.C.H. changed because ''they'' changed, and thus evolved with them.
** Taranee's New Power outfit is the only one that still shows the midriff. While the others (and especially Will) have outgrown their rebellious phase by the New Power saga, Taranee only does ''during'' the saga, after she got the new outfit (and her hair got crazier).
** Hay Lin's of Chinese descent like the ancient human Guardians, but her outfits resemble the {{Qipao}} while the ancient Guardians wore ''hanfu''. The ''hanfu'' is the traditional Han Chinese wear, and the feminine version was supplanted by the qipao (of Manchu origin) only in the 20th century.
** Yan Lin's Guardian outfit is modeled on the ''[[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tangzhuang tangzhuang]]''-pants outfit, that was originally man wear but has since grown to be worn by both genders. Back in her day, women in China were still relatively kept in traditional roles, so to fight (a traditional man's role) she gets in "men"'s clothes.
