* Instead of being voted-off, Duncan is eliminated from the 'All Stars' competition because of him blowing up Chris' mansion, getting arrested and sent no to 'juvie' but to prison. Considering all the first season's contestants were 16 years old, and that the current season is set a bit over 2 years later, Duncan is surely an adult by now.

** The reason why Courtney seems more forgiving of Duncan than of Gwen is easier to understand if we recall that Tyler didn't see the start of the kiss. The audience knows that Duncan was the one who initiated everything but ''Tyler doesn't.'' So the only information he could hand out was that Gwen and Duncan were kissing. Now, from Courtney's perspective she had two options: think her boyfriend went out of his way to cheat on her, or think that the person she was just becoming friends went out of her way to seduce him away. While the former is what happened, she would be more likely to expect the latter since her trust was developed with one and just developing with the other.

* In 'All Stars', Scott is very determined to find the immunity idol, to the point he insists on going to Boney Island two nights in a row. It makes sense since, out of all the villains, he's the one with the most personal enemies still in the competition (Mike, Zoey and Cameron) who are also in good terms with Sierra, so, if making it to the merge episode, Scott is at the most risk of getting voted off.

* In 'Drama', Heather and Leshawna got on friendly terms, but they're back to being enemies in 'World Tour' with Leshawna actually causing lasting physical damage to Heather. Why they got back to being enemies, with Leshawna actually being the main offender? In the 'Celebrity Manhunt' special, we see that, between seasons, Heather and Gwen had been in a blogs' war, insulting and ridiculing each other, and when they got together for an interview, they got into a catfight. Since Leshawna is Gwen's best friend from the series, she had to take a side in this conflict and obviously sided with Gwen, meaning she and Heather are back in bitter terms, with Leshawna being particularly aggressive due to her protectiveness on her friends.

* Why were their only two votes against Scott and how did Lightning and Zoey get a vote against them if Cameron and Zoey both voted for Scott?

* In "Not Quite Famous", Izzy does the "Dance of the Rattlesnake". While she dances, you can see Owen being hypnotized by her dance. Their relationship isn't heavily supported until later. Given his HoYay undertones, there is a chance he may not even like Izzy, and she abuses him contantly, yet he still loves her undyingly, as evidenced by ''Oh My Izzy.'' * Why did Sierra ship Gwuncan? Well, in TDWT, she thought of Gwen as a bit of a threat to her crush on Cody, seeing he had a crush on Gwen. She'll barely blame Cody for anything (she wanted Gwen to stay away from Cody, not vice versa), so Gwen would be the problem in her mind. Pairing off Gwen would help prevent distracting Cody to her. (The simpler answer could be she's an AudienceSurrogate, too, of course.)

* In "Up The Creek", Gwen refers to Cody as a little brother. When you see the video from her family, her brother looks slightly similar to Cody and even shares a voice actor. And her bio states she gets along with her brother, which may be why she tacks the "annoying" onto there- to clarify, and possibly to not offend her real life brother.

* While watching "I See London..." this troper wondered why Alejandro seemed so upset about Noah not trusting him and calling him an eel, even though Heather hadn't trusted him from the beginning and had called him much worse insults. Then later this troper realized that while Heather had simply seen through the facade and then told him right away, Noah had done something entirely different. See, Alejandro's entire tactic is fooling people into believing he was friends with them, and he thought that he had already managed to trick Noah. But now it's revealed that Noah was only ''pretending'' to fall for Alejando's "friendship" tactic, which means Noah had managed to defeat Alejandro ''[[BeatThemAtTheirOwnGame in his own game]]'', and THAT was what ticked Al off the most. -Musouka

* At first Cody's JerkAss behavior at Gwen and Duncan's relationship seems like a double standard given how he reacted to Trent's and his actions in Greeces Pieces and then it hit me: The circumstances are totally different. With Trent, Cody realized that not only she really liked Trent but that Trent generally cared for her and that he had no chance and decided to do the right thing and help him out. But Duncan treated him like crap for all of "Greeces Pieces", treated his friend and fellow drama brother Harold, who acording to Hawaiian Style was at least a bit close to him, like crap for all of ''Action'', and while Cody played DoggedNiceGuy all season, Duncan just waltzes in and wins her over when he already has a girlfriend. His pissy attitude was more than justified.-Mogo
** I had a little bit more afterthinking of this last night, Trent and Justin were also Drama Brothers, and they were shown to not only have reunited but have been close friends, proving my Harold thing, meaning that Trent and him had also become friends and that Trent thought, and was actually slightly accurate, that Duncan purposely destroyed their relationship. And Justin probably didn't have the highest opinion of him either after the whole Courtney thing. So basically, all of his friends hated him, Cody himself was probably a little suspicious so the things just one giant clusterfuck justifying his behavior even more. At least he's not as bad as Sierra (she did get better though)-Mogo
* In her bio, Heather says she wants to take over Europe. This may have been added because the producers knew that part of the viewers of the show would be Christians and, in almost every apocalyptic romance, like LeftBehind, the antichrist would always take over Europe, so this was included to boost her villanious status in the first season. Bonus with her brother being named [[TheOmen Damien]] - NotJMKeynes.
** If the producers had that much foresight, there wouldn't have been so many continuity gaps in the episodes. The episodes had few if any references to the bios, and flat-out contradicted them in a number of places. A simpler explanation would be that the text bios were written after the fact by people with little or no connection to the creative team.
* Many people were upset about Trent and Gwen's breakup, but in his bio, it's said that Trent had a lot of girlfriends before, so he may have a problem with unstable relantionships. Their breakup followed this logic.
** Bouncing off this logic here, and remembering things from 'Island', Trent's craziness doesn't seem to come out of nowhere anymore. In the episode where Cody helps Trent and Gwen get together, when Cody tells him that Gwen likes him, Trent's first response is "If you're lying, I could easily rearrange your face. You know that, right?" Hardly what one would expect to hear from [[TheAce someone so cool and collected,]]... unless he has had relationship trouble in the past, [[AllThereInTheManual which one could surmise from his online bio.]] From this, one could imagine that he believes that it was his fault for past breakups, even if it wasn't. Now, for Trent's obsession with the number 9, the only explanation we get in show about it before the Aftermath in Action (where it's revealed that 9 is simply his lucky number,) is Harold saying that he noticed Trent doing it around the time he also noticed that he was crushing on Gwen. Duncan's subsequent theory on the combination of hers and Trent's names leaves Gwen to believe that 9 was formed after he fell for her. However, to me at least, When Trent and Gwen arrived on the Island in the very first episode, he already was giving her nice looks, meaning that he liked her as soon as the show began. Since it could have happened from the very beginning, the Aftermath explanation that he had always considered 9 lucky doesn't seem as much as a Retcon anymore. Couple this with the fact that he and Gwen didn't get to spend more than a couple to three weeks tops together, (Courtesy of Heather causing his elimination,) he probably still doesn't know her inside and out. So, when he is separated from her in Action, and seeing that she is now on the same team as Duncan, who she shares an obvious affinity with (leading to its conclusion in World Tour,) Trent is quite worried that she would [[AllGirlsWantBadBoys fall for him]]. So his craziness is him not obsessing over Gwen so much, but desperation over not wanting to endure breakup again, and doing everything he could to prevent that. Without a successful wingman to let him know what he was doing wrong, all he could do was rely on luck. - Grithalmur
** And if the writers have planned this before TDA, I mean, they created Trent with the sole purpose of being a SatelliteLoveInterest to Gwen and then be dumped by her.
** It is persumed that Trent hates Gwen for dating Duncan behind his back in TDA. The only revenge that Trent got on Gwen was writing a hate song about her, dating Katie and Sadie to spite Gwen, and then letting her be hated among the viewers.
*** Further emphasized by the fact that Gwen and Duncan didn't even date. There was a connection, but both maintained nothing happed, which makes Trent reaction and suspicion a self-fulfilling prophecy. He kept accusing Gwen and freaking out about her relationship with Duncan, that it pushed Gwen away and she became closer to Duncan. Same could be said, probably even more so, about Duncan just finally getting fed up with Courtney's abuse.
* Why was Alejandro such a VillainSue? It can be interpreted that Chris and the producers were editing the footage to make him appear better than everyone (which incidentally stopped when Duncan returned to the game, since he's an equally GenreSavvy character. ~Tropers/CheapSugar
* Alejandro manipulating Harold into eliminating himself in Super Happy Crazy Fun Time Japan. At first, I couldnt understand why he would care which member of Team Victory got voted off since the team would still be one member short. In fact, it was revealed the member who was to be voted off was DJ whose strength would have been a great asset for future challenges and been a loss similar to how Heather tricked the Killer Bass in TDI into voting off Eva who was one of the most strongest and athletic players. But then I realized something, out of the members of Team Victory, Harold was the highest ranked one in TDA managing to get up to the final five. His whole character is based on being a CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass who when times gets rough manages to pull his team up with a hidden skill. Heck, he was responsible for scoring the first two wins for the Killer Bass with skills they hadnt known before and pulling them out of their first losing streak. Despite this no one takes Harold seriously. Of course, Alejandro would have watched Total Drama before participating and been able to analyze the characters beforehand, gauging their strengths and weaknesses and which ones would likely be an obstacle. Alejandro recognized him as a threat and decided to eliminate him early before he could pull off any wins for his team. For this troper, this seemed to establish Alejandro's manipulative nature and ability to read people since he saw a potential threat that no one else did. In addition, Harold's elinimation allowed him an opportunity to work on Leshawna without a suspicious cruch questioning his moves and attempting to drive him away
** Not only that, but given that Harold knew quite a bit about Japan and probably knew some (or maybe a good amount) of the Egyptian Language, who's to say he wouldn't also know a good amount about the [[GenreSavvy other countries and cultures they'd visit in the future]]?
* Been thinking way too much lately, but something that bugged me was how the Courtney/Duncan/Gwen love triangle was able to cause so much damage? Couldn't any of the three have talked it out with each other or used the other campers as mediators to help do so? But then I realized, every possible mediator had been eliminated or disabled by this point. From the people eliminated up to these events occurred, Harold, Bridgette, Leshawna, Lindsay, and DJ, generally all kind, easy-going people, could each have acted as a mediator or go-between to help lessen or repair the damage the love triangle would cause. By the time Duncan returns and everything hits the fan, none of them are left. There was still the possibility of Owen doing something to help mediate things too, but that was the purpose of Izzy and Noah's eliminations. With the two of them gone, Owen was lost in grief and worried Alejandro would take him out next. Coincidence? Probably. It's true that Chris had no way to know that Duncan would come back at that point, but looking at it from this perspective, the triangle was deliberately triggered so that everyone who was left in the either game had something to do with the triangle or cared too much about themselves to do anything to lessen the damage.
** Could be possible that Cody, Sierra, or even Heather can help, but here are the reasons, Sierra is willing to get Gwen off the show while Cody is an Asshole to Duncan. But Heather is the only chance Gwen has to be saved, unfortunately that got ruined when Courtney got Heather jealous by flirting with Alejandro as part of his own plan. So the true monster of the love triangle is Alejandro, not Duncan, Gwen and Courtney.
** Another one: In the last episode of Season 1, Gwen's insult to 3/4 of the cast was a big-time OutOfCharacterMoment that confused many fans. Now I just realized: those comments were set up so we would get angry at her and feel more satisfied when Owen won.
* While Courtney practicably wanted Gwen dead after the DXG kiss, Trent is just lying back like he doesn't care. In TDA, He was near insanity. I don't get it! I was expecting something like Trent cutting a wire of a headlight and make fall on Gwen. Somebody tell me.
** Well, the TDA special showed that Trent had moved on and had started dating other girls, so maybe he's just realized he shouldn't just keep obsessing over Gwen. He did call Duncan an idiot during one of the Aftermaths, though, which means that maybe
* I don't know why it took me this long to realize this (probably because I just forgot about it), but Sierra is the company that created ''VideoGame/LeisureSuitLarry''. So, in a way, Sierra has a meaningful name--she loves Cody (and knows enough about him to have invented him herself), who fits the [[CasanovaWannabe archetype of the protagonist]] perfectly.--[[{{Tropers.PPPSSC}} PPPSSC]]
** Another one from [[@/{{PPPSSC}} me]]: Alejandro kissed Heather and it looked not romantic. This of course, could be showing that even someone as allegedly hot as Alejandro, even someone as charming as Alejandro, could be a terrible kisser. It's a brilliant [[SubvertedTrope subversion]] of a trope so omnipresent we forget it's there. Notice that up until that moment, he only kissed through the air, excluding the Bridgette thing but that was a girl-initiated smooch (a.k.a. a press of the lips, not a particularly passionate kiss with tongues and saliva).
** [[@/{{PPPSSC}} Back again.]] What are the two things people complain about the most in season three? The Zombie Zeke subplot and the GDC love triangle. When did these things start happening? In the episode where [[OnlySaneMan Noah]] was eliminated. His departure was [[LampshadeHanging symbolic of the show's descent into madness]], and possibly {{Foreshadowing}} what was to come.
*** I like it. A mixture of Cerebus Syndrome and ShooOutTheClowns... When you think about it, Noah's elimination was when the humor was kicked out to make room for more drama- a very clear example of CerebusSyndrome, at least until Sweden came around, then the series got back to normal.
* At first, This Troper didn't think much of Trent being a SatelliteLoveInterest and bordering on TheGenericGuy in TDI. Then I saw [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iwc87FOtbh8 this promo]] made back when TDI was still in development under the title ''Camp TV''. In this promo, Beta!Trent is introduced as being "the normal guy". The writers had planned for Trent to be TheGenericGuy and OnlySaneMan all along! Not a particularly shocking discovery, but I digress. - [[{{Tropers.Qmark}} Qmark]]
** Also, in the original pilot, Geoff was Gwen's SatelliteLoveInterest, so when they made Gwent a couple, they made Bridgette Geoff's SatelliteLoveInterest so they wouldn't feel sorry for Geoff. - [[{{Tropers.truteal}} truteal]]
* A lot of people have responded negatively to Trent breaking up with a girl via a text message (sent by Justin, no less) in the Celebrity Manhunt special. But remember in "Haute Camp-ture", when Trent [[CrowningMomentOfHeartwarming announced that he was in love with Gwen]]? His breakup with her may have made him lose his belief in true love, and now he's just a womanizing celebrity. Perhaps a [[DeconstructedTrope Deconstruction]] of the NiceGuy trope?
* Sierra doesn't let on being GenreSavvy in show, only in confessionals...however, this easily makes her more GenreSavvy as she knew Al was concentrating on eliminating actual threats. Had she shown how GenreSavvy she was, he'd have seen her as a threat and eliminated her early, but she always was able to tell what kind of person he was, so she acted like she was a moron. But she still provided enough to her team she never caused their loss in a challenge, meaning they didn't mind keeping her on. This is why she lasted to the final four, no one except Cody wanted to vote her off because she didn't seem to be a threat or a liability.
** Hmmm... maybe. The point of her GenreSavvy behavior was that it revolved around knowing how the ''previous'' contestants played the game - specifically not to trust Heather and that she could easily latch onto an alliance with either Gwen or Courtney. Al was correct in saying that Sierra knew nothing about him, and she could've suspected nothing until the final five or so. After all, she did fall for his scheming in the New York episode, where she already showed that she would've known better if Heather or Courtney tried the same tactic. As for flying under the radar, that's a difficult strategy to pull off (Noah's the only one who did it knowingly, and Beth and Owen are the only ones who've succeeded at it). She probably just isn't much of a MagnificentBastard to actively run the game when her main goal is to have Cody by her side.
*** True, though one could argue that she was doing it to avoid Heather eliminating her, as Al and Heather are both NotSoDifferent in many respects.
* In "One Flu Over the Cuckoo's", a member of the winning team would get a chance to hang out with their friend/family member of their choice. Duncan's "friend" was his parole officer. At first, this seems like a joke in that this was the only person they could trust Duncan to be around. But if you notice, the parole officer has Tyler's old design. In the original Camp TV promo, Duncan and (old) Tyler were shown to be friends. [[DevelopmentGag So it makes sense, Duncan and that guy have been friends ever since the beginning!]] - philipthepatsy
* Sierra has been said to act like someone in a Self Insert Fanfic. Being the crazed FanGirl she is, she probably ''did'' write a few of those. She's just bringing them to life now that she's actually in the game
* Gwen's confessional callout in the final episode of ''Island'': it seemed originally like a way to make us hate her so that Owen could walk away with the money, or at least a ridiculous OutOfCharacterMoment. The brilliance is that it might just be a ShoutOut to a confessional that [[Series/{{Survivor}} Boston Rob]] did all the way back in ''Marquesas'' where he insulted all his new tribemates.
* You know how ''Total Drama World Tour'', was supposed to be called ''Total Drama: The Musical'', but because of fan rejection it was changed? Well, I realized that the new name has a double meaning; they are indeed travelling around the word, but the ''Tour'' part can also refer to a concert tour! This way, the original name and the whole concept are being kept together!
* Duncan's "TookaLevelinJerkass" makes more sense in that in Season 1, he was more of a "JerkWithAHeartOfGold" and due to that, people outside the show thought of him as a pansy and those who previously feared him, no longer feared him and due to this, he decided to act more like a "Jerkass" to make up for it.
* I know a few people were confused at Ezekiel's first elimination. "There were 6 guys and only 5 girls, how did Courtney not get voted off?" but then you may realize-not every guy voted for Courtney. Tyler, DJ Duncan and Geoff probably did, since DJ and Geoff probably listened to Duncan's advice to vote her off and Tyler got nervous that she randomly suggested he gets the boot, Harold probably voted for Duncan because he was [[GenreSavvy smart enough]] to realize they may have a conflict later on, and Ezekiel? he voted for Eva, because she strangled him and he was terrified of her. If all the girls did vote for Ezekiel, it would be Zeke-5, Cortney-4, Eva-1, Duncan-1, which is why Duncan and Eva were last to recieve a marshmallow before Courtney!
* Several people wonder why Gwen is subject to most of the in-universe hate over the love triangle in World Tour. The reason is that she kissed, and stole, the boyfriend of someone who was supposed to be her friend. On top of that, Heather kissed Trent in front of Gwen in Island, so she knows the pain that Courtney is going through. However, where as Heather kissing Trent was a stunt, Gwen and Duncan became a couple. NiceJobBreakingItHero.
** And considering Courtney found out about Harold's vote rigging later on, who's to say everyone never found out about her huge rant in the season 1 finale. Plus, she clearly had no resentment for how heartbroken Trent was with her freindship with Duncan in season 2.
*** Now see, this has always been a gross oversimplification of things to me. When Gwen DID kiss Duncan, she did nothing but feel guilty over it. This whole TookaLevelinJerkass is kind of unfounded, as she didn't intend for it to happen, and wasn't malicious or gloating about it when it was revealed. She never mocked Courtney about what happened and again, only felt like crap over what happened, but couldn't shake how it made her feel. She didn't "steal" anyone, honestly, I don't even think Duncan and Courtney were even in a relationship when the kiss happened. Before the kiss, he and her just went through an expensive divorce and when they got back on the show, they MAY have been together, but then he quit the show and disappeared for what, a minimum of a month? Maybe longer? When he came back, he only had time for Courtney to hug him before HE kissed Gwen. And really, Duncan left a poisonous relationship in favour of someone who wasn't horrible to him and has shown to have a connection. Actually a major case of DoubleStandard, if you think about it. If Duncan had been as violent, rude, backstabby, and insulting to Courtney as she was to him, and she had fallen for someone else (for fun, lets say Trent), people would be lauding and praising her. Seriously, she's abandoned him when he was injured, accused him of infidelity even when he wasn't, acted jealous, constantly demeaned his intellect and appearance, attempted to change everything about him and break his will, spent a fair chunk of his million dollar winnings (since he was the only one to actually ever keep the money) in court proceedings over a lawsuit with a raccoon, constantly fought, and in numerous instances, was physically abusive! Sure, thats what attracted him to her in the first place, but anyone who has gone through that understands that it gets old pretty quick and can really eat away at you. It could have been a bit more tactfully done, granted, but still, it is entirely believable for Duncan to feel pushed away from Courtney's constant negative personality and be drawn to Gwen, who was already a good friend. Really similar could be said about Gwen with Trent's obsessive behavior. Which is where the brilliance comes in. Total Drama.
* Why is everyone on whatever team Scott is on holding an IdiotBall, while the people who aren't get evicted? Because this ''is'' a stealth parody of ''Series/{{Survivor}}: Samoa'' - which, at the time, had the ''stupidest'' cast in the history of Survivor.[[note]]For those who don't know, the current award for "Dumbest cast" has to go to the Ometepes in Redemption Island, who did not vote out a CreatorsPet who ''knew the game'' and ''had production on his side''. It takes a special kind of dumb to not vote that person out on day 3.[[/note]] The people who weren't outright TooDumbToLive got voted out by the DevilInPlainSight.
* When I saw Dakota at first, I thought her to be a shallow character, an AttentionWhore and so, at first. But then I realized something: in her entire life she was treated as a shallow character by everyone surrounding her, so when Sam started to respect her, she felt respected and her character started to gain more depth. It shows that even shallow characters can be good characters and can be considered an anvilicious way to tell GiveGeeksAChance.
* With all the shit that happened in both ''Action'' and ''World Tour'', has there been too much damage done to the 1st Generation cast for them to still be used in ''All-Stars''? - ThomasVeggieDramaFan
* Why were their only two votes against Scott and how did Lightning and Zoey get a vote against them if Cameron and Zoey both voted for Scott?

* Because Cameron didn't vote for Scott. Cameron knew that Lightning was going to hold a grudge against him for stealing his immunity so he voted for Lightning.

* Seeing as Lightning was grining when Scott got voted off, it's very plausible that he voted with Zoey.

* So it goes:

* Cameron - Lightning

* Lightning - Scott

* Scott - Zoey

* Zoey - Scott
* In the ''Action'' episode "Top Dog", Beth's raccoon Mr. Whiskers wants nothing to do with her at first, snarling and clawing at her angrily when she tries to interact with it. This seems like normal wild animal behavior until the episode reveals that Mr. Whiskers and the rest of its raccoon family possess human levels of intelligence; therefore it was presumably very offended when Beth indirectly called it vermin and tried to teach it simple commands that were more suited to a dog ("Roll over! Play dead! Anything?"). It's only when Beth begins to act subservient to the raccoon (panting like a dog, catching a treat in her mouth) that it starts to listen to her. Gives new meaning to the title "Top ''Dog,"'' doesn't it?
* In "Million Dollar Babies", Justin says, "That's it, I'm moving to Canada...except I'm already there." Where is Justin originally from, as his bio (and WordOfGod) reveal? Hawaii!

* In "Chinese Fake-Out", Blainley and Courtney were tied for votes and they both had to leave because of budget issues. If this same thing ever happens with a whole team, then they would all have to leave in the same episode if they all have one vote! Yikes!
* In the last episode of ''World Tour'' after the volcano erupts, the characters are all seen swimming away from the island, except for Alejandro (who's been trampled and covered in lava), Chris and Chef (who are on a boat), Ezekiel (who is launched out of the volcano into said boat), and Blainely, who...apparently disappeared after reaching the water. [[KilledOffForReal What the hell happened to Blaineley?]]
** Made even scarier in the season 4 premiere, where everyone shows up on a cruise ship, dancing and being merry (even Feral Ezekiel is panting like a dog). BLAINELEY IS NOT THERE.
* "Backstabbers Ahoy!": Dawn is sabotaged and eliminated. Chef then puts her in her bag,throws it in the catapult, and Chris launches it away. It's a plastic black garbage bag she was just thrown into, full of sticks and seashells. And she's thrashing the entire time...

** [[WordOfGod An interview with Mike's voice actor, Cory Dorlan]] only reenforces this, with Cory stating that if he could pick a new personality, he'd be a "total crazy guy like SelfDemonstrating/TheJoker or [[WesternAnimation/TheVentureBrothers The Monarch]] .
