* Bruce had a very good reason to expect the splicing to become 'their' problem, experience. Back in his youth he dealt with ''many'' people using the earlier forms of the technology and becoming criminals. Many were already dangerous, others became desperate. Dorian, March, Cheetah, Batman was well aware that the technology could be used for crime. Notably he didn't outright consider the technology evil, he wasn't protesting it, but he knew very well it could be easily abused, both by its users and those who provided it the way Cuvier was.

** In a morbid way, Peek's fate was at least lucky that the earth's gravity still had an effect on him. Had he lost that too, he would have been flung from earth entirely as the earth isn't a fixed point in the universe; it at bare minimum revolves around the sun, and we have no idea if the sun itself is moving through space as we have no point of reference.

* During Payback, why did Howard Lewis attack Terry on sight [[spoiler: when he wasn't Payback?]]. Simple, not only is Howard a genius, [[spoiler: but surely it wasn't just Terry and Bruce able to link their care center to Payback's victims. Howard probably did as well, and assumed Batman was Payback.]]
** Payback assumed that Batman would be his ally when they first met. Being darkly dressed and going after those who abused kids, Payback's look might have been based off Batman's. The main difference being the stark difference between a jerk boss and a drug dealer, [[spoiler: something hard for a young child to distinguish between]].
** Joker once said of Batman that he's ''just a little boy in a playsuit, crying for mommy and daddy''. [[spoiler: That is ''literally'' what Payback is, minus the mommy part]]. This might even be what caused Bruce to be more naggy to Terry than he usually is, on top of Terry's first wrong I.D of who Payback is, Bruce's gut was probably picking up that similarity. The fact that Bruce ''does not'' like thinking of the Joker probably made him grouchier than usual.

* About midway through the series there is an art shift as the animation goes from traditional to digital. As a result everything becomes generally brighter. Interestingly, this is also around the time that good things start happening: the very episode this happens Barbara resolves to trust Terry more, the Royal Flush Gang and Paxton Powers are defeated, Terry's shown to have so overcome his issues that he avoids both being sent to reform camp and falling back in with 'Big Time', etc etc. The world's become a better, happier place because of Terry's efforts, and thus the word is lighter.
* Ultimately the lesson of Bruce, and what Terry does that he could never do, is truly separate his life from his heroic career. Batman was 'born' when he was eight, and it is such a part of him that he's much more identifying as Batman than Bruce Wayne. Terry, becoming Batman as a older teenager, has much more of an identity outside of Batman that it can never define him as much as it did Batman, and he is able to exist outside of the mask in a way that Bruce never could. Hence why in ''Epilogue'' he is able to be married while poor Bruce is alone with only photos.

* Paxton turning against his father is [[KickTheSonOfABitch understandable]], but resorting to outright murder makes one wonder what ''did'' Derek do to drive his son to those ends. Was Derek not just neglectful, but incredibly physically and mentally abusive to him? Or did Derek, a man so ruthless he would kill his own employees, [[ConditionedToAcceptHorror desensitize his son toward extreme violence with unethical business plans]]? Considering how crestfallen Paxton looks after his father calls him a fool, it is easy to guess Paxton is lashing out at a cruel father who never cared for him, and not trying to take over his father's company.
* Adding to the above, what happened to Paxton's mom and Derek's wife? Considering the kind of man Derek is, [[DomesticAbuse he might also have been equally abusive to his wife]], driving her to divorce him. Derek, being the man he was, probably used his power to leave his wife with nothing while retaining full custody over Paxton out of pure spite. Or even worse, Derek might've [[TilMurderDoUsPart outright murdered his own wife]], either because of abusive nature or because [[HeKnowsTooMuch she also had the misfortune to stumble upon his bad deeds and Derek wanted to tie up a loose end]]. Suddenly Paxton hating his father to the point of murder makes even ''more'' sense.

** Which leads to some FridgeBrilliance as Peek made his living exposing the secrets of powerful people, many of whom were much more likely to make him disappear than Batman and had the means to do it, aone of them a CorruptCorporateExecutive that [[spoiler: tried to do in his own father]]. It's also entirely possible Bruce contacted Barbara and explained what happened just to be transparent with the one authority he trusted and would be the most likely to investigate Peek's disappearance.

* When Bruce finds out Ra's al Ghul pulled a GrandTheftMe on Talia, he insults Ra's being slapped by him by saying he "hits like a girl". This seems like a silly thing to say because [[CaptainObvious Ra's is in a woman's body]], but the brilliance of it is the implication it gives. Bruce always speaks highly of Talia when he discusses her in the episode, so by mocking Ra's for hitting so weakly, he's basically saying Ra's is beneath Talia in everyway.

They are about to be exposed by the scum of the earth, only for the media to learn that Ian Peek has gone missing. * In "The Last Resort" we see a little hint at the improved relationship between Terry and Mary. Parents are sending their kids to the titular resort by the droves, many, it's implied, for rather minor offences. Now Terry actually used to be a troubled kid, he went to Juvie for three months before he became Batman and in the first season episode "Slappers" Mary was willing to believe the worst when she found a titular Slapper in Terry's bag, suggesting a low level of trust between the two of them. However Terry is one of the few students not to be sent to the Resort. Clearly this shows that in the intervening time their relationship has improved quite significantly to the point that she now trusts him enough to believe he didn't need to go to the resort.
