* Being one of the first works written, this is the one work officially claimed to take place in an AlternateUniverse from the rest (due to major discrepancies, such as Shiki's eyes and Touko's goal). Most of the characters here can be considered the 'blueprints' for those in the rest of the 'verse. * ''VisualNovel/{{Tsukihime}}'', an eroge visual novel. Features TheVerse's ''[[NamesTheSame other]]'' Shiki, Shiki Tohno, going back to his old family mansion after he was kicked out eight years old. He suffered a childhood accident which granted his eyes [[MagicalEye strange abilities]] and his own past is rather muddled as well. Has a manga and an [[VisualNovel/{{Tsukihime}} anime adaption]], complete with BleachedUnderpants.
* ''Tsukihime PLUS+DISC'', a visual novel. A "fun disc" with a new short story (introducing two new characters, and finally revealing protagonist Tohno Shiki's face) and several other shorts discussing the Verse. Also, sequel promotion.
* ''Kagetsu Tohya'', a eroge visual novel. Yet another "fun disc" sequel that doesn't specifically take place in any one particular ending of the original game. In any case, about 90% of it is a (very messed up) dream.
* ''VideoGame/MeltyBlood'', a fighting game. Relatively story-heavy for its genre. Has several sequels itself, some of them expanding the story considerably, mostly the update ''Melty Blood Re-Act''. Supposedly takes place after an unreleased story route in ''Tsukihime''.

According to the release, it was a cancelled project meant to introduce the setting of a potential role-playing game, but considering it was published on AprilFoolsDay in 2008, the question of if it was ever a serious project remains unanswered. Certain elements have been reused in other works, leaving its canonicity up in the air. It was greenlit as a full LightNovel series.

* This series strays far from most other Type-Moon franchises in that instead of revolving around magic, mages, and the supernatural, it revolves around terrorism and biological weaponry. It's the only Type/Moon franchise where we have characters who fight using guns, as opposed to the bladed weapons used by other Type-Moon characters.
** While this series was created by Type-Moon co-founders Kinoko Nasu and Takashi Takeuchi, it is possibly not part of the Nasuverse proper due to its status as a SpinOff to an unrelated VisualNovel.

The Nasuverse is mostly unified in its rules on FunctionalMagic and related topics (like non-human species). However, while crossovers are rare, they ''do'' happen, even if in incredibly roundabout ways.

Then again, as already stated, it isn't internally consistent because large portions of the source material are mutually exclusive, and some parts of it are obviously not canon to begin with (like self-parodies etc.) - the canon universe is more about characters and the interaction between them, and less about the actual plot(s) taking place. {{Doujinshi}} authors take full advantage of this, and the amount of fan material available is staggering. Many works might not even be truly set in the same verse.

Due to the sheer amount of rules and terminologies involved within the {{Nasuverse}}, there is now an [[Analysis/{{Nasuverse}} analysis page]] as a guide to all the terminologies and rules involved, also serving as a dissection of the setting through tropes. Please feel free to contribute. Also now has a [[Memes/{{Nasuverse}} memes page]].

The Nasuverse is mostly unified in its rules on FunctionalMagic and related topics (like non-human species). However, while crossovers are rare, they ''do'' happen, even if in incredibly roundabout ways. This 'verse is also notable for a very high amount of incredibly detailed {{canon}} and a comparatively low amount of {{fanon}} (since pretty much everything that can be explained is somewhere).

* This series strays far from most other Type-Moon franchises in that instead of revolving around magic, mages, and the supernatural, it revolves around terrorism and biological weaponry. '''''VisualNovel/MahouTsukaiNoYoru'' - Witch on the Holy Night'''
* Originally an unpublished short story; it details the past of Aoko Aozaki (the minor but major character of ''VisualNovel/{{Tsukihime}}'') and her mentor, Alice Kuonji. They meet Shizuki Soujuurou, a man unfamiliar with city life. A VisualNovel adaptation was released ([[DevelopmentHell after a very long wait]]) on April 12, 2012. It is also Type-Moon's first all-ages visual novel.
* Two sequels have been planned, but they [[DevelopmentHell may not appear for some time.]]

'''Notes (OurAngelsAreDifferent)'''
* Also called ''Literature/AngelNotes''; it's a short story featuring an apocalyptic future where [[EldritchAbomination The Ultimate Ones]] invade the planet and destroy the remains of humanity after the [[GaiasVengeance death of Gaia]]. Also notable for providing the foundation for some concepts in the 'verse, namely that "Gaia" is a living being and that each planet has an "Ultimate One".

'''''Literature/KaraNoKyoukai'' - the Garden of Sinners (OurSoulsAreDifferent)'''
* Protagonist Shiki Ryougi wakes up from a coma, and finds that while she retains her memories, she cannot identify with them as her own. As she struggles through her own life like a stranger, strange events - suicides, murders - begin to happen around town.
* Three novels, divided into seven chapters and an epilogue. A series of 7 animated feature-length films air in theaters from late 2007 to 2009. The DVD editions for all movies are available as of December 2009, while the Blu-Ray editions (incidentally with ''English'' subtitles) were released in February 2011, together with an OVA of the epilogue.
* ''Mirai Fukuin: recalled out summer'', a bonus chapter released ten years after the original series. An animated adaptation has been greenlit.
* Being one of the first works written, this is the one work WordOfGod maintains to be in an AlternateUniverse from the rest (due to major discrepancies, such as Shiki's eyes and Touko's goal). Most of the characters here can be considered the 'blueprints' for those in the rest of the 'verse. She is pulled across dimensions, thus indicating that ''Kara no Kyoukai'' and ''Melty Blood''; at least, are AlternateContinuity.

'''''VisualNovel/{{Tsukihime}}'' (OurVampiresAreDifferent)'''
* ''VisualNovel/{{Tsukihime}}'', an eroge visual novel. Features TheVerse's ''[[NamesTheSame other]]'' Shiki, Shiki Tohno, going back to his old family mansion after he was kicked out eight years old. He suffered a childhood accident which granted his eyes [[EvilEye strange abilities]] and his own past is rather muddled as well.
* ''Tsukihime 2 / the dark six'', currently a running joke. A brief trailer is in ''Kagetsu Tohya'', and there have been many short stories that expanded the characters (especially Tohno Shiki) far beyond their original roles.
* A remake of the original ''VisualNovel/{{Tsukihime}}'' has been announced in April 2008, reportedly finally including the Yumizuka Satsuki route that has been [[RunningJoke one of the running jokes of the franchise]]. Currently in DevelopmentHell, though it has been indicated that it will be worked on once ''Fate/EXTRA CCC'' is completed.
* ''HanaNoMiyako'', a manga that follows Miyako Arima while she studies in a school where students are ranked by martial arts fights.

'''Fate ([[FunctionalMagic Our Magics Are Different]])'''
* ''[[VisualNovel/FateStayNight Fate/stay night]]'', an eroge visual novel. Shirou Emiya, Mage-in-self-training, stumbles into the "Holy Grail War". Has a manga, an anime adaption and a movie by StudioDEEN, and a [=PlayStation=] 2 port, all with the aforementioned bleached underpants.
* ''[[Manga/FateKaleidLinerPrismaIllya Fate/kaleid liner PRISMA ILLYA]]'': A manga that features an AlternateUniverse storyline with Ilyasviel (the resident EnfanteTerrible) as the main character... and as a MagicalGirl, complete with a spunky talking staff called Ruby. It is very much an AffectionateParody, both of ''VisualNovel/FateStayNight'' and MagicalGirlTropes in general.
* ''Literature/FateZero'': A prequel novel (and later, an anime adaptation) that covers the events of Heaven's Feel IV, the [[WhenItAllBegan fallout from which affected every character]] in ''VisualNovel/FateStayNight''. Note that ''Literature/FateZero'' assumes that you have read ''VisualNovel/FateStayNight'', so beware of spoilers.
* ''[[VisualNovel/FateHollowAtaraxia Fate/hollow ataraxia]]'': A sequel/[[{{Doujinshi}} fan-disc]] VisualNovel that was released in 2005. A [[LighterAndSofter more lighthearted story]] set six months after the conclusion of Heaven's Feel V, it focuses on a magus called Bazett Fraga [=McRemitz=], who finds herself trapped in a strange GroundhogDayLoop with a mysterious Servant called "Avenger".
* ''[[LightNovel/FateApocrypha Fate/Apocrypha]]'': A light novel by Yuichiro Higashide that centred on a version of Heaven's Feel with fourteen Servants sorted into two teams of seven. The project was originally pitched as an MMORPG, but it never took off and its place in official canon is uncertain.
* ''Anime/FatePrototype'': A twelve-minute {{OVA}} included in the final volume of ''Anime/CarnivalPhantasm''. It is based on the first draft of ''VisualNovel/FateStayNight'' written by Kinoko Nasu in his high-school days, when it was intended as a traditional novel instead of a VisualNovel.

According to the release, it was a cancelled project meant to introduce the setting of a potential role-playing game, but considering it was published on AprilFoolsDay in 2008, the question of if it was ever a serious project remains unanswered.

* ''[[VideoGame/FateTigerColosseum Fate/tiger colosseum]]'', a PSP exclusive 3D brawler, which serves as both a [[ThirdOptionAdaptation sequel]] and [[AffectionateParody parody]] of the original games. Taiga Fujimura initiates a war for the Tiger Grail and the Masters and Servants compete for it once more. Followed by a stand-alone expansion pack, ''Fate/tiger colosseum UPPER'', which added more playable characters from ''hollow ataraxia'' and ''zero'', as well as Arcueid, Kohaku (both in MagicalGirl form), and Neco-Arc, making it the first real {{Crossover}} between ''Fate'' and ''Tsukihime''.
* ''[[VideoGame/FateUnlimitedCodes Fate/Unlimited Codes]]'', a fighting game. Follows the general plot of ''Fate/stay night'' but proceeds into a different direction; "What if this character was the protagonist?". Also includes Luviagelita Edelfelt from ''Fate/hollow ataraxia'', a surprise entry of Lancer from Fate/Zero, and Saber Alter from the Heaven's Feel route, as well as a "new" entry of "Saber Lily", an apparently "Bright" version of Saber to round off the trifecta.
* ''[[VideoGame/FateExtra Fate/EXTRA]]'', an alternate universe setting with a new Holy Grail War, released for the PSP in July, 2010. Differs from the rest of the series in that the player can choose their character's gender and Servant (from Saber, Caster, or Archer). Has a sequel in the form of ''Fate/EXTRA CCC''.

* An official Type-Moon crossover manga adapted into anime this [[Summer2011Anime Summer 2011]]. It's a crossover between ''[[VisualNovel/FateStayNight Fate/stay night]]'' and ''VisualNovel/{{Tsukihime}}'', focusing more on [[GagSeries random and hyper crossover madness]] rather than a serious crossover between the series.

''Manga/AllAroundTypeMoon''
* The second official Type-Moon crossover manga by artist B-suke where all of the Type-Moon characters including those AlternateUniverse meet at the Ahnenerbe Cafe.

'''''{{Anime/Canaan}}'''''
* This series strays far from most other Type-Moon franchises in that instead of revolving around magic, mages, and the supernatural, it revolves around terrorism and biological weaponry. It also strays from Nasuverse in that it's the only Type/Moon franchise where we have characters who fight using guns, as opposed to the bladed weapons used by other Type-Moon characters.
** While this series was created by Type-Moon co-founders Kinoko Nasu and Takashi Takeuchi, it is possibly not part of the Nasuverse proper due to it's status as a SpinOff to an unrelated VisualNovel.

'''''[[Literature/TsukiNoSango Tsuki No Sango]]'''''
* A short story by Nasu written for MaayaSakamoto's Full Moon Recital and later adapted in a manga by Sasaki Shonen, of the Tsukihime Manga fame. It follows a girl whose grandmother claims to come from the moon. It is passed in a world where people started colonies in the Moon, but soon lost interest, resulting in then giving up on living.

'''''[[DevelopmentHell Girls Work]]'''''
* Notable for ''not'' being done by Kinoko Nasu and Takashi Takeuchi, despite being a Type-Moon production. The story reportedly is about supernatural happenings in Shinjuku. The title was announced in 2008 as a VisualNovel, and then in December 2010 it was reported that it would be released as an anime instead. [[{{Vaporware}} Since then nothing has been heard about it]].

[[TheWikiRule Has its own wiki]] [[http://typemoon.wikia.com/wiki/TYPE-MOON_Wiki here]].

'''Pastimes of Nasuverse fans (sometimes called "Type-Lunatics", even by themselves) include:'''
* Discussing [[MyKungFuIsStrongerThanYours power levels]] inside and across franchises. Of particular note, the WordOfGod strongest being, Type-Mercury/ORT has become a loved and hated icon of the NasuVerse.
* Arguing over whether either Shiki (mainly [[VisualNovel/{{Tsukihime}} Shiki Tohno]]) can kill [[VisualNovel/FateStayNight Servants]], or [[CosmicHorror other beings]] for that matter (WordOfGod be [[DeathOfTheAuthor damned]]).
* [[GirlsLove Pairing off the numerous female (due to its eroge roots) characters]] with each other. Far easier in Fate than Tsukihime, unless you're a FoeYay or {{Twincest}} kind of person.
* Hating the Tsukihime anime adaptation, mostly citing low budget, character wrecking, vague storytelling, and OOC actions that just don't make sense when one has read the visual novel, and loving the manga adaptation. They even claim that the anime doesn't exist.
* Making fun of the pornographic aspects in the games, [[FanDisservice considering it hilariously bad]], particularly [[UnusualEuphemism the metaphors used for the sex organs]].
* Arguing about the intelligence/stupidity levels of the protagonists (a ''very'' [[SeriousBusiness touchy]] [[BrokenBase topic]] - one end of the spectrum has them as subtle geniuses, the other as having noticeable cases of Down Syndrome), [[VisualNovel/FateStayNight Shirou Emiya]] being the most common focus.
* Figuring out scenarios based on the [[http://img19.imageshack.us/img19/8725/typemoonrelations.jpg ridiculously convoluted character relationships]] [[http://images34.fotosik.pl/64/031a310f6bfa47cd.jpg (enlarged)]]. Even '''that''' chart only ''slightly'' helps (though it doesn't include the characters from Fate Zero, and does not show most of the relationships, especially Shirou or Shiki's relationships with most of the heroines correctly, for instance missing out Shirou's love for Sakura and Rin, even though their routes are just as canon as Saber's).
* Making a [[http://www.heavens-feel.com gigantic tabletop roleplaying game based on the Nasuverse]].
