** In ''[=AvP2=]'', the Marine gets ''two''. The last level starts with Harrison in Alice, the squad's military-grade powerloader with a bunch of guns and lasers and rockets and stuff strapped to it. He looses this, but after defeating the Queen, gets the sniper rifle to hold off the Praetorians while the squad evacs. The sniper rifle does crazy stupid damage, even if you aren't all that accurate with it, basically one-shotting the Praetorians.

* CanonDiscontinuity: Ridley Scott, who disliked the crossover franchise, completely de-canonized the ''Alien vs. Predator'' film duology with ''Film/{{Prometheus}}'' and ''Film/AlienCovenant''. Furthermore, FOX jettisoned the Praetorian caste from canon with ''Literature/AlienOutOfTheShadows''.

* SupervillainLair: The WY complex in ''[=AvP=] 2'' appears to be some kind of attempt at designing a Xenomorph-proof building; it consists of a series of skyscraper-sized pods suspended from an overhead gantry that can be dropped individually in case one is compromised. The Aliens get in along the gantries; quite why they hadn't tried this before isn't particularly clear.
** They were probably electrified. Notice how the Xenomorphs didn't break in until right after Harrison accidentally compromised the security grid?

** Interestingly enough, ''VideoGame/MortalKombatX'' contains a Xenomorph and Predator as guest characters, making that game an extension of the AVP brand. Aside from the ''MK'' series, it also marks a crossover with Film/FridayThe13th and Film/TexasChainsawMassacre thanks to the appearance of Jason and Leatherface.
