In late 2023; a follow-up of sorts was announced titled ''The Forge'' with a scheduled release date for August 23, 2024; and while it's unclear if this will be a direct sequel to ''War Room'', a few of the characters (T.J. and Elizabeth Jordan {T.C. Stallings, Priscilla Shirer} along with Miss Clara {Karen Abercrombie}) have been confirmed to be included; with Shirer also playing [[spoiler:Elizabeth's [[ActingForTwo twin sister Cynthia]].

It is never explicitly stated why he does it.

* AsTheGoodBookSays: The film ends with 2nd Chronicles 7:14.

* WidowWoman: Miss Clara, who was previously married and also has a son who she ends up living with.
* YourCheatingHeart: T.J. is making eyes toward a young female business associate that he also sees at church and goes to dinner with her. Fortunately, Elizabeth's prayers and faith in God stops T.J. from going too far with the dinner date.

* DeadpanSnarker: The delivery guy who meets Elizabeth at her house with a package, when Elizabeth wakes up in her "war room", being real subtle about Elizabeth's condition after waking up, saying that the package will "take her breath away."

* SmellyFeetGag: Elizabeth's foot odor is a constant problem in the film. At the end her husband J.T. treats her to a foot massage while wearing a mask over his face.

* NeverMessWithGranny: Miss Clara. When she and Elizabeth were held at knife point by a mugger to hand over their cash, Miss Clara stands bravely before the mugger and boldly tells him off in the name of Jesus. Surprisingly he relents.

* SmellyFeet: Elizabeth's constant problem in the film. At the end her husband J.T. treats her to a foot massage while wearing a mask over his face.

* TheCameo: Beth Moore stars as Elizabeth's co-worker Mandy.

* SpiderSense: When the pastor and his wife examine Miss Clara's house while Elizabeth is giving them a tour through it, the pastor looks into what was Clara's "war room" and says someone must have been praying in it. Elizabeth confirms it, but asks the pastor how he knows it. He simply says that it's like "it's baked right in it".

''War Room'' is a 2015 Christian film directed by Alex Kendrick and written by himself and Stephen Kendrick. In the film, T.J. and Elizabeth Jordan, respectively a pharmaceutical salesman and a real estate agent, are having trouble in their marriage, and their daughter Danielle is being ignored. During one of her visits to a house being put up on sale, Elizabeth encounters an old woman named Miss Clara, who sees the stress that Elizabeth is under and helps her to overcome it by having her develop her own "war room", a space where she could go by herself to pray to God so He could help restore her marriage by her submitting herself unto Him.
