* HumansAreTheRealMonsters: The trolls are just animals doing what's natural to them, but the GovernmentConspiracy lets innocent tourists get killed, wipes out whole troll communities to allow for property development, and [[spoiler:probably murdered the film crew to avoid admitting that trolls exist]].

The clip is the (at that time) prime minister speaking, and the lines come from an actual interview.
