* AlternateCharacterInterpretation: Where to start with this one...

* FridgeLogic: Lupita dreams of owning a doll. But if Santa is real and Lupita is a good child, shouldn't he have already brought her some dolls by now?
** So, wait, he opened up what, a thousand doors? One by one? Wouldn't that have taken a pretty long time?
** FridgeBrilliance: Lupita is finally old enough to know what she wants for Christmas.
** By the end of the movie, Santa has managed to deliver presents to maybe five houses, all in Mexico City. ''What about the rest of the world?''
*** The cowboy kid mentions to Merlin that Santa had already visited Asia, Europe, and Africa. Then again, the narrator [[PlotHole says that Mexico City]] [[TheyJustDidntCare was his first stop.]]

* {{Narm}}:
-->'''Narrator:''' NO, LUPITA!

* TheyJustDidntCare: When you have your characters pronouncing the name "Dante" as a homophone of the English name "Danny"... Yeah.

* ValuesDissonance: Santa's "multicultural" helpers. If you're actually ''from'' any of the countries they're supposed to depict, prepare to be amused, confused, or just outright offended.

* FantasticReligiousWeirdness: It gets a little awkward when Lupita's mother asks her to "pray very hard"... and the camera cuts to ''Santa''...
** In his review, TheAngryVideoGameNerd notes that Santa actually mentions Jesus Christ.
** Paul Chaplin directly mentions how weird (and somewhat offensive) this is in the Amazing Colossal Episode Guide.

* AssPull and DeusExMachina: Some of the stuff this film comes up with in the second act is ''really'' pushing it...

* CrowningMomentOfHeartwarming: When Santa makes it possible for the LonelyRichKid to be able to see him as he is and the little boy immediately hugs him on sight. Plus, pretty much any moment Lupita is on the screen. Even the MST staff weren't immune.
* CultClassic

* DeusExMachina: The climax--if you can call it that--involves Santa getting trapped in a tree by an unpleasant dog. Merlin is suddenly introduced to get Santa out of the scrape.

* MemeticMolester: Both Santa and Pitch skirt around this.

* NightmareFuel: The MST3K episode is the TropeNamer. That should tell you all you need to know about this film.
** To be specific, the scene suddenly cuts to a very creepy animatronic Santa in a store window. Servo simply states: "That's some good old-fashioned nightmare fuel."
*** The laughing robot reindeer will inspire some spectacular nightmares, too.
*** The monitor with lips on it.
** A more straight example is Pitch getting the three boys to fight amongst each other. It's the only time he actually seems ''evil'', with appropriate music (for a change) - a menacing slow bass piano riff..
--->'''Pitch:''' Go ahead, beat your brains out! At least I got ''them'' fighting -- Lucifer will be so ''pleased''.

* ParanoiaFuel: Santa has a machine that can see your ''dreams''.
** Santa can also listen in on your private conversations. *shudder*

* SnarkBait
* SoBadItsGood

* TastesLikeDiabetes: Lupita

* UnfortunateImplications: Just for starters, there are the stereotyped kids of various nationalities working in Toyland. Mike and the Bots were aghast at the African representatives.
** Plus there's the whole subtle implication that all these kids are Santa's slaves...
** If that's the case and if those children are immortal. Then it's a [[BadNewsInAGoodWay sugar coated]] form of {{Hell}}
** Mike and the bots called the giant lips machine "The Pleasure Mouth." In online reviews, some have wryly suggested, "maybe that's why there was no MrsClaus."

* AcceptableTargets:
** As Santa flies back home:
-->'''Mike (as Santa):''' Oh -- I forgot France! Oh, well.
** When the movie shows the multicultural workforce of Santa, [[{{Jerkass}} Tom and Crow]] make several rude jokes (the Italians planning to whack Santa, Tom '''''really''''' lays in [[CheeseEatingSurrenderMonkeys France]] for some reason, and Crow makes a joke about BritishTeeth), prompting Mike to tell them both that they've "offended everyone, now."
*** Crow finally makes a crack at American kids, saying that they "Are too spoiled and lazy to help Santa. There, [[PoliticalCorrectnessGoneMad that makes it all better now]]."

* EnsembleDarkHorse: Pitch, who also appeared in ''DevilDoll'' selling Crow a line of devil dolls and teaching him how to remove Tom Servo's soul and place it in a toaster strudel.
* GiftOfTheMagiPlot: Horribly subverted for TV's Frank; Dr. Forrester a watchfob and, unclear on the concept, shaves his head just for the heck of it. You'd expect Dr. Forrester to have sold his watch and get Frank a gift certificate to a hair salon, but instead he gives him a savings bond - in ''Forrester's'' name, no less - that will mature into $25...in thirty years. [[TheWoobie Poor Frank.]]
* HomemadeSweaterFromHell: Gypsy makes Mike a sweater with "JOIKE" on it that she started to Joel before he escaped earlier that season. Mike seems to actually like it though.
