Clara (Beatrice Fletcher) is a novelist who's spending Christmas with her Aunt Marie (Julie Stevens) and her friend Danford (Tony Goodall) at her house. On the way, she decides to get a gift for her from an antique store owned by a man named Dimitri (Patrick Bergin). When she arrives, she's soon joined by her very unpleasant cousin Melissa "Mousey" (May Kelly), Mousey's boyfriend James (Stephen Staley), and soon her own ex-boyfriend, Paul (Andy Dixon) since Marie likes him and doesn't know they've broken up, much to her chagrin.

One thing everyone notices when they get there is that Marie has a 6-foot nutcracker next to her tree. They all think it's creepy, but put up with it because Marie likes it. However, at the stroke of midnight, the sugar plum fairy got for Marie (when she was expecting a nutcracker) brings the nutcracker to life. And it would seem that the Nutcracker (Christophe Monplaisir) is a malevolent killer.

The movie was released on November 25th, 2022.
