But ultimately that wasn't the case, the priest was just standing in the way of a property expansion Harry wanted, so Harry had him removed from the picture.

** It is essentially a DownerEnding because per WordOfGod, [[spoiler: Ray does in fact survive his injuries. But he ends up moving back to London and ends up trying to kill himself. Maybe Ray survived, but he's just as guilt-ridden and miserable as ever and he likely doesn't have anyone around to help him through it.]]

** Interrupted ''by'' someone trying to kill the guy who is trying to kill himself. Awkward.
