''Get Him To The Greek'' is a SpinOff movie for Creator/RussellBrand's Aldous Snow persona from ''ForgettingSarahMarshall'', a previous joint from Creator/JuddApatow and Creator/JasonSegel. Expanding upon the former film's depiction, Brand hits upon every British rock star stereotype as often as Hill exemplifies the harried and harassed music industry newbie. In addition, P. Diddy appears as Sergio Roma, a lunatic record exec with a fondness for [[FurAndLoathing animal fur]] and 6 kids who all need Air Jordans.

* TookALevelInJerkass: Applies to Aldous when you compare his behavior in ''Film/ForgettingSarahMarshall'' with his behavior in this film. In ''Forgetting Sarah Marshall'' Aldous is actually a pretty nice guy who is polite and cordial towards Peter and even gives advice to a young newleywed on how to please his wife sexually. In ''Get Him To The Greek'', however, Aldous spends most of the film as a self-centered, inconsiderate asshole who makes Aaron's life a living hell.

Though this one is somewhat justified since Aldous at this point of time has become a drug addict which would easily explain his jerkass behaviour.

Moving You Look Familiar to the YMMV, as it was marked.

* YouLookFamiliar: Most obviously, Jonah Hill's main character is different than the guy he played in ''Sarah Marshall'', but Carla Gallo (the "Gag Me" girl) here plays Destiny, and Da'Vone Mcdonald, the bartender Dwayne in the first movie, plays Sergio's security guard.
** [[LateToThePunchline Destiny & The "Gag Me" Girl are (probably) the same person.]]
** Dwayne does mention he moved from South Central LA to Oahu in ''Sarah Marshall'', so the security guard (who is based in LA) could be his twin brother or something.

Just a lot of discussion, decided to condense it

* UglyGuyHotWife: Creator/ElisabethMoss is fairly good looking while Jonah Hill is downright unattractive. In Hill's defence Aaron spends the majority of the film exhausted, stressed out and drugged up so he was probably deliberately made up to look uglier than normal, but even so the disparity in their attractiveness is noticeable.
** The attraction from her side is explained a little after he makes a joke and she smiles and says "You're funny." and drifts off to sleep.
** Still very much this trope. Countless movies have taught us that funniness in a man can outweigh any physical unattractiveness. Not so much for women, of course.
** Well, Jonah Hill CAN look good at times, even if he is overweight. Thing is, in this movie Hill is downright OBESE. Whereas he was just "fat" in ''Superbad'', ''Sarah Marshall'', and ''Walk Hard'', Hill had seriously put on the pounds since and it really [[IncrediblyLamePun outweighed]] his attractiveness.
** This one's definitely a case of YMMV, as there are quite a few people who think Hill looked very good in this film (it helps that he lost the Jew-fro). Also, "fat" and "attractive" are not mutually exclusive.
** Definite YMMV. A lot of people would disagree with Elisabeth Moss being vastly hotter than Jonah Hill. She's not unattractive, of course, but there's not really that much of a looks-discrepancy between her and Jonah to fit the traditional mould of hot-wife-ugly-husband.

Jonah Hill is Aaron Green, a record company intern who has just been given the moment of a lifetime: Haul infamous [[BritishRockStar Britrock libertine]] Aldous Snow to the States in time for his 10th Anniversary concert at L.A.'s prestigious Greek Theater. Considering Jonah Hill's character is a massive Aldous Snow fan, and all he has to do is escort the playboy, this gig shouldn't be too much of a hassle, right?

When Aaron is rightfully upset that she just expects him to agree and go along with her, they have a fight and apparently break up. After they reconcile at the end of the movie they do end up moving to Seattle together.
