* DisneyVillainDeath: The three rival drug dealers at the beginning, with the added torment of being skinned first and dosed with Slo-Mo so the fall lasts a long, long time in their minds. [[spoiler:Then Caleb about halfway through, and Ma-Ma at the end, both chucked by Dredd.]] The second instance is unique; we not only see the hard and bloody impact, we get see it from the perspective of ''the ground the victim lands on''.

Added DiffLines:

* SupportingProtagonist: For all intents and purposes, Anderson is the one who gets a character arc. Dredd is her mentor, guiding and assessing her progress from wide-eyed rookie to hard-bitten lawbringer.

* YouWouldntShootMe: Ma-Ma has a DeadManSwitch linked to explosives which have the potential to kill everyone in Peach Trees, and is confident Dredd will not kill her. * CrooksAreBetterArmed: Zig-zagged: on the one hand, the heavily outnumbered Judges use extremely advanced sidearms capable of using a variety of ammunition types and firing settings, as well as being in possession of sophisticated stun grenades. On the other, Ma-Ma's cartel is in possession of five or six Gatling guns that they pull out against Dredd at one point. [[spoiler: Then there's the fact that the cartel is able to bring some crooked Judges onto the payroll.]]

A spin-off comic, ''Dredd: Underbelly'', was released in September 2013; a sequel, ''Dredd: Uprise'' released the following year. A web-animated mini-series about Judge Death dropped in 2014. Adi Shankar has been trying to get a sequel to the film made after strong outcry from fans and supporters alike. A crowdfunding project was made in an attempt to help get the sequel off the ground, but as of March 2015, the film is most likely scrapped. As of January 2016, the sequel campaign has shifted its focus to attempting to get a SequelSeries made instead, and there are some unspecified talks with Netflix on that possibility.
