** HeelRealization: Lacey mocks Carlos that he was already willing to do some awful things before, so why should ''this'' act bother him? This leads Carlos to re-evaluate.

* [[SavingTheOrphanage Saving The Apartment Building]]: An elderly couple, a pregnant woman, a starving artist and a former boxer who mainly communicates through ad slogans are trying to keep the tenements they call home from being demolished by a greedy land developer. Obviously, [[Film/Breakin2ElectricBoogaloo none of them can breakdance]], so they ''really'' need a miracle.

* SpicyLatina: Shy, quiet Marisa subverts this trope, although she ''will'' let you know when she’s upset or angered.
* SufficientlyAdvancedAliens: Very, seeing how they appear to be mechanical, but also show emotions and have biological functions just like organic beings do.

The title is a play on [[UsefulNotes/BatteriesNotIncluded "Batteries not included"]], a common disclaimer on electronic toys such as the Fix-Its resemble.

* UsefulNotes/BatteriesNotIncluded: Played with, as the visitors resemble the kind of space toy that would often feature this disclaimer.

* IdiotBall: Carlos gets handed one [[spoiler: when the building is about to burn down. The other guy tells him where the bomb is. Instead of running to stop it, Carlos goes to try and talk Faye out of the building. He only goes for the bomb when he can't get her to budge, but by then it's too late. If he had stopped the bomb to start with, he could have gotten her out at his leisure.]]
** [[spoiler: Unless of course he was afraid he wouldn't be able to disarm it in time and wanted Faye out of there first in case something went wrong.]]
