The characterizations of the ponies remain incredibly true to the show, and the OCs are well-crafted. The plot is interesting and gripping. The writing takes the cake, it is quite simply amazing. Aldea Donder took a weird, "out there" concept like Rainbow Dash being Celestia's daughter and makes it work. This fic is arguably better than the fic that inspired it, which itself is fairly good.

** Has two alternate universe sequels: First is his own work, Traveler, which is about the Doctor and Twilight going to a dark, depressing future, and other is the Audio Drama series "Doctor Whooves Adventures," which is headed by him. As of this writing, the two are not intersecting, and are not in continuity with one another. ** ''Comments'': Judging from the first chapter, this may prove to be a pretty good explanation for Sparkler being Dinky's sister. Essentially, Sparkler's the oldest orphan in the Canterlot orphanage and, thus, losing hope of herself being adopted. Of course, being awesome like she is, Derpy feels sorry for her and decides to give her a home. Hopefully the rest of the chapters get done and uploaded, because I hope to see how things play out (it being designated a sad fic after all).
** Seconded by DaOtter. The story is now complete, 8 chapters in all. You not only get to know how it all ends, but you get Derpy's backstory as well. Manly tears will be shed, and after this Sparkler being Derpy's daughter and Derpy's odd speaking pattern WILL be cannon in your head.

* ''Synopsis'': When a mishap causes two para-dimensional weapons to collide with one another, RED Team's Pyro is sent flying from the ''VideoGame/TeamFortress2'' universe into the alternate universe of ''MyLittlePony'', where he is almost instantly discovered by Lyra, who shelters him in her home.
Having him hidden in her small townhouse isn't easy; keeping him from setting things on fire, teaching him that not every cart that passes by is cause for alarm, and that blue ponies are not something to be suspicious of.
